I haven't had the pleasure of visiting the Center in person yet, but fell in love with it through the video available on it's site and convinced my sister, who who was at a less than desirable Rehab Center, to apply to transfer over to the Life Care Center of Punta Gorda. Our initial contact was with a lady named Jessica Shiner, Admissions Coordinator. Ms. Shiner made this, our scary attempt, incredibly easy and smooth! She contacted me as soon as she received my sister's medical records, and then again once a bed became available. Ms. Shiner arranged for my sister's transportation from the old place to this new, comfortable and modern Center and carefully reviewed future appointments and needs. I have every confidence in that the Life Care Center of Punta Gorda will prove to be as wonderful and efficient as Ms. Shiner and my sister will enjoy her stay and meet all her physical and emotional goals! I will update as soon as my sister is comfortably settled down. It's all quite exciting!!

I can't praise the staff at Life Care Center of Punta Gorda enough!! My mother was no longer able to return to her assisted living home and Jessica (Jessie) Shiner was amazing in facilitating the process of getting my mother set up with them and getting the necessary insurance requirements started for processing her long term care there. I was beyond overwhelmed and Jessie was a true lifesaver for me. Praise also goes to Jane who was there for me during the few times Jessie was unavailable. The nurses and CNAs at LifeCare couldn't be more caring or competent, ALWAYS jumping in to assist. I was extremely impressed with the nurses who consistently helped the CNA's when they saw the need. I feel very confident that my mother is in excellent hands.

I knew the time had come when my mom needed more care than my husband and I were able to give her. Since she lived with us for a good part of her life this was a very difficult decision, and one that was not made lightly. I went to see many facilities, but when I walked into the Life Care Center in Punta Gorda, I knew that's where she needed to be. Jesse, in admissions, was wonderful. She answered my many questions and made me feel less stressed over this decision. The facility is clean, nurses are friendly, the dining room looks like a lovely restaurant, and there are lots of activities if you choose to participate. I sleep very well knowing my mother is being well cared for 24/7.

I have been a resident at Punta Gorda Life Care for close to a year and I whole heartedly applaud the facility and the entire staff. They are very attentive to my needs.

Life Care and all the staff have been a wonderful place at accommodating my father for long term care. They always kept me in the loop, communicated any changes, and made his stay there as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend the facility for your loved ones.

My husband fell and was in four other facilities before we were lucky enough to find Life Care Center of Punta Gorda. It was the first facility he made progress due to the excellent care. Jesse was so kind and understanding and the staff was efficient and friendly. They made us feel like family.

I want to thank Jesse and all the staff for all their help and support in getting the best care possible for my mom.

Not sure where to start regarding Life Care Center of Punta Gorda. First, Jesse in the admissions office was absolutely amazing when we had our initial visit. We walked out of that visit without a doubt that was where dad needed to be. My father has been bedridden since November of 2021 and has been in quite a few facilities of all different care levels and I have to say Life Care Center of Punta Gorda is top of the list. Everyone is so caring and attentive with my father. The change I have seen in my father has been amazing. He has gained weight which he needed to do, because the food is outstanding. Mentally and cognitively he is back to being himself! It has been a long road for dad and our family. My brother and I live out of state, so we need that trust and confidence that dad is being taken care of. After all this time, I feel so much relief knowing I don’t have to worry every minute whether dad is being attended to and getting the proper care. It has been a blessing for sure. Dad’s nurse Sheila and all the nurses are amazing, the CNA’s are outstanding. The director of nursing has been attentive and available. I know I am forgetting all names. I have received nothing other than a big hello, a smile and kindness as soon as I walk in the door. Front desk staff are top notch! To sum it up, I have not crossed paths with a staff member that has caused me to be concerned or worried. Life Care Center of Punta Gorda has been the biggest blessing to our family.

Have. been here for 3 months after spending nearly a year in another facility. Like night & day as here they’re much more patient focused. The people are first rate. I have had a really good experience with Jessie Shiner & rate her A+. I would highly recommend !!

My wife requested Life Care for her stroke rehabilitation. They still “Wow!” her (and me!) every time. Great care, they’re at your door in minutes! They are always friendly and considerate! They are busy making the room perfect from the time they enter to the time your request is finished! Occupational Rehab and Physical Rehab are both considerate and professional! She is in good hands on the road to recovery!
