Margaret Colleran's Online Review Report Card

I have nothing good to say and while there are many points I could elaborate on I will focus on the total dismissal of my concern regarding issues with being a cancer survivor. After my concerns being rudely dismissed I found a new primary care manager who listened to my concern, ordered the test that Colleran refused to do, and now I am scheduled for surgery. She is the most uncaring medical person I have ever met.

I was a patient of Dr Colleran for about 10 years. Initially I thought she cared about my health, but during the last two years after their practice was purchased by Advent, she has had one foot in the door and one foot out when meeting with me as a patient. A ten minute office visit at most. I have had some serious heath issues recently, which included cardiac and pulmonary, and she seemed like she could care less... Obviously Advent pays them now on how many patients they see each day, not the personal care and attention they provide. I felt like just a number so I've moved on. Stay away!!!!

I had been a patient of Ms. Colleran beginning in 2014. In 2016 I had an X-ray taken which showed a minute kidney stone. Colleran told me it was insignificant and would probably pass on its own, and so I was not concerned. Fast forward to 2020 and I had an enlarged kidney and had to have surgery to remove it. During all the times I went to you Ms. Colleran after the original discovery of the stone, you never once looked at my past record or requested testing to follow up on the stone’s progression. I have had so many surgical procedures and now my kidney is dead. Another incompetent doctor with AdventHealth is Jared Wallen, who abruptly left the area after he caused a stricture in my ureter and left a particle of the stone in my kidney. Giving you a one star is rating you too high. You push vaccines on your patients, and we now know the horrible effects from those toxins. Whoever reads this review, please take heed: AdventHealth doctors are for the most part puppets of Big Pharma and they do not care about their patients. For all the years I went to you every three months, the visits were short and you never once looked back through my history to make a proper diagnosis. You may be assured, Ms. Colleran, that I will never recommend you or any doctor who works for AdventHealth. You would never subject your family to the kind of medical negligence that you administer to your patients.

Dr. Colleran just goes through the motions of appearing caring but she has made serious mistakes concerning my health. I would never recommend her as a health care provider.

My experience with this doctor was horrific. She was aware of my anxiety and depression issues. Because of the covid 19 epidemic and having cancer i have been isolated from family and friends. I was so depressed i had a telemedic session with my psychiatrist. My psychiatrist doesn't see patients on fridays. She had increased my meds to help my depression but when i noted i had ran out i contacted dr. Colleran. She wss not available so spoke with her nurse Theresa. Theresa srefused to give me prescription and i started to cry and begging her to no avail. She refused to help me and hanged up on me. Three days later i received a letter from Dr. Colleran advising she will no longer wished to see me and didn't want me to be her patient any longer. I was so hurt and felt so helpless. What kind of doctor could dismiss a patient that is going through such nervous breakdown at this difficult time in our lives. Whatever happened to empathy and able to be kind to someone with mental issues. I thought doctors were there to not just collect money but to be kind and helpful to their patients . Avoid this monster of a doctor and her nurse Theresa. They don't have a heart.

I am happy to have found Dr. Colleran, she is the first doctor in 6 years of having left Sarasota that I will actually stick with, finally. She listens, is helpful and her nurse is amazing having helped me get very necessary pre auto's for my scripts. I read the other one star review and feel terrible for the person but I understand why Dr. Colleran did not write the script. There are so many laws and regulations in Florida because of people abusing prescription drugs that primary care physicians need to be overly cautious. I am NOT saying the person in the other review abused anything but doctors have to be very careful. I have also had trouble getting needed medication via telephone or in person, but I understand the position doctors have been cornered into.

Didn't care about my issues. Puts on a friendly face but does even know who you or why you are there even is just a follow-up. Cold.

Dr. Colleran was my Internist and from the first day i saw her i explained to her I had cancer and suffered from severe depression. Due to the covid 19 epidemic, i was feeling extremely sad n couldn't stop crying. I haven't seen my kids and grandchildrens in almost a year. She recommended i see a psychologist. I did so n this doctor is kind and listened to me. She was a great help. She increased my dosage and i was feeling fine. On a friday i noted I was running out of meds and became frantic since my psychiatrist is closed on fridays. I called Dr. Colleran to get a refill since i was running out but her nurse Theresa wouldn't let me talk to her. I begged her to please just issue the refill and to look at my records so she can see my psychiatrist information. She wouldn't budge. I became frantic and couldn't stop crying. My husband tried talking to her to no avail. Three days later I had a scheduled appointment with Dr Colleran and when i called to confirm i was told my appointment was canceled and that a letter from the doctor will be arriving. The letter stated she no longer wished to see me and to find another doctor. I was so broken. I couldn't believe this doctor was so cold and couldn't comprehend how people like me that suffers from depression need help from their doctor especially at a time like this. This woman shouldn't be practicing medicine. No heart or ethics.

Dr. Colleran is listens to my concerns. She explains her diagnosis and treatment in a way that is easily understood. She is kind and genuinely concerned in finding the best treatment for my health needs. She is a wonderful doctor.
