River Oaks Treatment Center's Online Review Report Card

This place is detestable and reprehensible. The treatment I received from staff was rude and outlandish. The police or ambulance was there at least one time everyday. You never see the same doctor twice. There were over 30clients on one floor of detox alone. I waited 3 hours one morning for my medication. Alcohol and narcotics were readily available on site. If your insurance client you are treated as secondary to self pay clients. Overall this treatment facility is a shame and should be shut down. They have no place advertising that they care or help people.

Our 27 year old son died behind the walls of River Oaks. River Oaks owned by American Addiction Centers quit responding to a few simple questions we had about his death.Their marketing materials make it sound like this is a safe place for your loved one. It appears it is not. The more you dig into their history the more horrific stories you find. Seems more like a money making venture than a care facility. BEWARE They owe us answers We didnt get them . WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

They really should update the website to reflect all the services they no longer offer due to covid. Also I got covid there so they kicked me out.

This is not my first time in treatment and this place is amazing. the rooms are clean and comfortable the staff is so caring and helpful. a special thanks to my therapist Karah who i could not have done this without. i really appreciate everyone here who has helped and is still helping me with my journey in recovery. i am very much enjoying my stay here at riveroaks

My therapist Travis and the TA Mattie welcomed me warmly and encouraged me to do my absolute best. I enjoyed everyone clients and staff during my stay. The facility is well kept and located in a safe environment. I learned great coping skills to fight the cravings of post acute withdrawal. Also I understand the importance of establishing a network of support once I leave. The on site AA meetings were tremendously helpful. Id recommend River Oaks to anyone who needs help with addiction.

The staff here was very helpful. Anything I needed they were on top of things. I was able to take a few tool home with me to learn to cope with stress issues that may be triggers for a relapse.

My overall experience was unbelievable for my recovery . The satay always was professional and courteous. Program Supervisor Christian went above and beyond for me to make my medical needs met promptly . I would recommend anyone that needs help or knows a loved one that is in need to check into River Oaks treatment center. It saved my life . Case managers and therapists really helped me with my recovery. This was my first treatment center and theres a lot of things they do better than others that I hear. Youre able to have your phone at all times. Just keep away during classes All staff and management works with you to resolve any issues and make sure your stay is comfortable as possible. A lot of good peer leaders and community events that bring a lot of positive energy.

River Oaks has truly been a life changing addition to my journey to becoming a better person. From the TA’s who first greet you when you arrive to the nursing and therapy staff who have your best interests in their hearts and in minds River Oaks has educated me in a way that is invaluable. I went there seeking help regarding the trauma that I experienced during my life and found answers. Through my therapist I discovered EMDR and it changed my entire way of looking back on the trauma I experienced. The TA’s are well trained informed patient and understanding. The facility is clean very cognizant of Covid and well laid out. The rooms are large with individual closets and large bathrooms. The grounds are beautiful with live oaks walking path fountains and native plants. I left River Oaks with a new thought process By understandings the concept that addiction is a thinking persons disease you can flip the script to the reality that true recovery is a thinking persons answer treatment. I truly appreciate River Oaks and highly recommend the facility to those who are serious about saving their lives.

Place still hasnt given back my account balance. I was told they would give send it back in the mail I have this on camera because Ive heard they try to scam you. Every time I try to get in contact they ignore me and send me to a fake voicemail. Before I left Nigel One of the staff assaulted me and when I reported it they did nothing.
