Apphia Wang's Online Review Report Card

I took my 17 yr old for an appointment. Rey, the front desk lady didn't really want me to go back with her but my daughter wanted me too. I'm glad I did because there is major communication gaps between doctor and front desk. We were told by doctor to start applying cream 1 week after procedure. I called office 4 days later to talk to doctor since my daughter's face and eye was very swollen she couldn't go to school. We were not informed of the potential side effects but did the standard ice and medication for the swelling. We were told doctor does not talk to patients on the phone and she would have to see her again. I was working so I sent my daughter. They charged my daughter a $55 copay and told her it was normal (doctor could've advised us at first visit or over the phone of this). A few days later I called when we realized we never received the cream we were supposed to apply 1 week after treatment. Rey told me she would check and call me back. She called me back and said it had not been a week. I explained to her she was using the date of the extra appointment not of when the procedure was done. She refused to understand what I was saying and laughed when I asked to speak to the doctor to clarify. She offered to cancel our follow up appointment and I agreed since there would be no change without the medication. She also refused to refund the copay she had my daughter pay.

VERY Thorough. I went to other MDs in Wellington in the last six years and they were very rushed, over crowded, pushing products. I felt heard by Dr. Wang, I was checked out very well. She spent time answering questions and concerns. Even if the practice grows to include cosmetic, I feel I would use them for that as well, bc they seem very focused on the patients needs rather than their own. The best dermatologist in six years in Wellington. I highly recommend. I am not easily pleased, either.

I was referred to Dr. Apphia Wang by two independent people. Her approach to everything was absolutely amazing. The office is beautiful, staff is super nice, and I felt completely welcomed. I was so happy with my treatment, that I have referred family and friends who also have called me up and thanked me for the referral. Thank you Dr. Wang!

Dr Allison Wang was great! She spent time explained the possible treatments for my daughter's acne. Her bedside manner is excellent. I would recommend her 100%

I called the office on a Saturday. I needed to see a dermatologist immediately because I received a very bad chemical peel the day before from a med spa and was very upset from the results. When I called the office was super nice, saying that they could help and it to worry. They said they are usually open on Saturdays but were at a conference. So I sent them photos of my skin and they gave me feedback on how I should take take care it until they could see me. They also scheduled to see me the next day which was Sunday! I don’t know what derm office would open just to see a patient but they did for me! Dr. Wang was so nice! She saw me on Sunday, gave me prescription and my skin has been healing very well ever since! She was so caring and genuinely wanted to help me. She’s amazing and I highly recommend this dermatologist!!!

Dr Wang performed mohs sugery.Very personable and explained everything.

The only reason Dr. Wang gets a 5 star rating is because you don't have a higher level. I have had several dermatologists in different locales over the past 40+ years. NONE approach Dr. Wang in terms of medical competence, patient relationship and patient empathy. She recently opened her own practice in Wellington and although the location is quite a distance from where I reside, I don't think twice about whether the drive is worth it. Dr. Wang proactively followed through with my insurance provider to make sure I could utilize my insurance benefits and continue to have her provide dermatological expertise. If you care about the skin you're in AND want a compassionate physician there is no one better than Dr. Wang. She's worthy of a 10 star rating!

I had the worst experience with this dermatologist. I was being rushed. Doctor doesn’t want to face patient’s concerns and just put the nurse supervisor on board. I will never recommend this dermatologist to anyone. So disappointed from my visit

Dr. Wang is very knowledgeable and professional. She is also friendly and easy to talk to. I recommend her and will definitely see her again.

Very pleased, doctor and tech were both informative and helpful in understanding health and cost issues.
