I only saw Dr Amatya 1 time and was told to return in 2 months. The reason for my initial visit was because my GFR number was low and I couldn't get a procedure done because dye was being used. Okay so 2 months go by, I show up for my appt and can't be seen because they have no referral. Their office wants a referral for every visit. Okay, so I reschedule. I arrive on scheduled day, on time, and woman says she doesn't have the referral....again. I had just taken care of this with insurance company days prior. Nope can't see the doctor. Then she tells me I'm here on the wrong day. I know me and I always repeat the appt date and time to avoid an error. I walked out of there so frustrated. This entire 3 month waiting period could have put me more at risk. Once I calmed myself I realized it was an omen. Off in search of a new kidney doc!!
