List of Carmen Marrero's Reviews
Dr. Marrero is awesome. Its unfortunate that her receptionist, LOLITA, is extremely rude all the time. I wrote a message to Dr. Marrero about her and she confronted me about it on the phone. All I am trying to do is get a refill on my antibiotic and Lolita has made it impossible. I've been calling all day. When I was in the office this passed Monday, I paid a copay online on their portal and when checked in, I told this to Lolita and she argued with me about it because it was an annual and there was no copay. All I did was pay what the portal said I needed to pay. Lolita acted as if I had committed a crime. I'm considering changing doctors solely because of how I am treated by Lolita. This review was a 5 star but I have since changed it to 1 star. Which is sad because I really like Dr. Marrero but I cannot get what I need. Instead I will be forced to go to the Urgent Care, pay $60 on a medication that I just had 2 weeks ago for an upper respiratory infection. All because Lolita refuses to do her job. Horrible, horrible bedside manor. Dr. Marrero deserves better than that!
So so unfortunate ! I love Dr Marrero and the nurse practitioners, but to get someone to answer the phone, return a phone call, or refill a prescription is IMPOSSIBLE. Horrible customer service at this office and it’s been that way for years (it has nothing to do with Covid).. What’s the point of leaving a message if it never gets returned? My pharmacy has reached out and all. If you needed to contact them to refill a life threatening medication, you’d definitely die first.......
Dr. Marrero is very professional and kind, she dedicates you the time you need to understand what you are feeling and your symptoms, however most important she explains in detail every step of the treatment so you are comfortable and at peace. She is always there to listen should you have any questions or concerns. Bottom line she is a blessing to have as a doctor
I really love Dr. Marrero, she is an awesome doctor, but if I need to talk with the receptionist, they never pick up the phone. You can never reach them if you need them for emergency. There is one receptionist I guess she is the "main or the oldest" receptionist, who always has an attitude. Every time I wanted to make an appointment I felt like I was being rushed and she was annoyed with me. One time she was so rude, she put me on hold and never got back with me. I was a patient for two years but sorry Dr. Marrero because of your staff I will not go back this year.
I’ve had several visits with Dr. Marrero and I’m thankful that i have a primary care Physician that really invests time to explain and go over any issues or concerns that I’m having without rushing me or brushing off my symptoms . Every visit I leave very well informed and with more knowledge about my health . I truly appreciate the time she takes to be so thorough and just listen to my concerns . I definetly recommend her if you’re looking for a Friendly, caring primary care physician
I would have given them 0 stars. I was assigned as a new patient by my health insurance which I pay a lot for and have not used this year. I called for a virtual visit because of the quarantine. Just to look at something on my face. The receptionist said she wouldn't see me if I was sick and no virtual visits cause I'm a new patient. So I pay monthly Health Insurance for Nothing. I am forced to go to urgent care clinics. And I Can't Go cause I am stuck home with My Kids. I Was Denied Virtual Medical Care by My New Doctor During a Covid 19 Pandemic. And If I Was Sick, She would have Not Seen Me At All. Hope All The Working Moms with Young Children are Doing Well! We need Better care than this. It is not just our health. It is our children's as well!
The office staff are very rude. If you cancel because, you have an emergency they will charge you a $25 fee. They lost two patients over this. They are not understanding and are all about the money. Also very disorganized office.
Dr. Marrero is #1 in my book Very caring and really listens to you After the first time there you feel like they all remember you and all just want to help Never feel rushed
Great doctor when you go in to see her. However, most times when you call the office you get a recorded message that your call is forwarded to voicemail for reception desk. It is kind of annoying that I am always getting a voicemail from my doctor's front office.
It doesn't get better! Dr. Marrero is the most competent, thorough, warm, caring, super smart physician I have met in my years living here in s. Florida, and in my quest to find the 'right fit' for me. I come from NYC, where outstanding physicians are very easy to find. However, that was not my general experience here in Florida, until I met Dr. Marrero. I recommend her, without hesitation, to comprehensively provide the best medical care there is, from children thru geriatrics. I trust her implicitly. In addition, her practive, ie office staff, have gone through some growing pains for a fairly new practice. However, the current staff is now stable, organized, efficient and polite. Office Manager, Lolita, is outstanding as are the medical assistants.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
