Mario Guillen's Online Review Report Card

I had the unfortunate circumstance of having Dr. Guillen at the Emergency Department at JFK. He admitted me to the hospital with an unidentifed blood infection. Never to be seen again he sent his nurse practioner, Jean Louise Gilbert, to make hospital rounds. After 4 days, 2 of which no labs were taken or ordered, Jean Louise Gilbert decided to tell me I had an untreated UTI that went into be blood. After confirming with the Nurse leader that he had not done proper labs, I requested to check myself out of JFK. Jean Louise Gilber did not want me to to that and asked me for proof after I confronted him about lying. With the held of the nurse leader on staff that morning of 7/16/23, we proved Gilbert wrong. He completely made up the diagnosis he gave to me. After checking myself out I went to Jupiter Medical Center where I was diagnosed with the Flu. The Dr. also told me that I never had a UTI and no infection had gone into my blood. Dr. Guillien nor his nurse practioner should be practicing medicine. It has become my mission to be sure they are both investigated and held accountable.

Dr. Guillien checked me into JFK Hospital with what he said was an unknown infection. He then left me to the care of his nurse practioner Jean Louis Gilbert. After 4 days of uneeded antibiotics, a completely made up diagnosis, of a UTI that went into my bloodstream, although he had not even pulled labs for two days. I checked myself out of JFK from under his care. I proceeded to Jupiter Medical Center where I was diagnosed with Influenza. DO NOT GO TO DR. GUILLEN OR HAVE HIS UNTRUTHFUL NURSE PRACTITIONER COME ANYWHERE NEAR YOU.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GO TO THIS DR. HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS PATIENTS. HIS NURSE PRACTIONER COMPLETELY MADE UP MY DIAGNOSIS. AFTER CHECKING MYSELF OUT AGAINST HIS ORDERS I WAS SEEN AT JUPITER MEDICAL CENTER AND DIAGNOSED WITH THE FLU. THE DR. AT JMC WAS APPALLED AND IN DISBELIEF OF THE TREATMENT/NONTREATMENT I RECEIVED WHILE UNDER THE CARE OF DR. GUILLIEN

Absolutely terrible.

This doctor should be investigated by the Department of Health and the American Medical Association. He does not answer questions for the patient thorougly and it takes 2 hours waiting time, for him to come see a patient that is in critical condition. He also endangers the patient's life by ordering prescription medication that the patient cannot take and that is against the protocol of what the specialists ordered to treat the patient with. This doctor also did not listen to family's repeated requests to verify the prescriptions that the patient already was taken, in order to help recover the patient quickly. This doctor spoke very negatively and apathetically to family members, without listening to all the doctors who were involved in the care and treatment of the patient. Dr. Guillen should be investigated for neglect of caring for patients appropriately.
