MIchael Bruno's Online Review Report Card

I've been suffering with health issues for almost 30 years related to an autoimmune disease. During the past 4 years I've experienced constant pain, vomiting, weight loss, hair loss, sleep deprivation, etc. to the point that I'm basically home bound. I've been "treated" by the same doctors for decades. I ended up at emergency room at Mease Countryside 3 weeks ago and was admitted that evening. I met Dr. Bruno early the next morning. His bedside manner is unmatched. From the first minute he walked in the room, he was warm, concerned, attentive and told me he WAS going to get me well. I felt comforted, heard and understood for the first time in years. In less than 24 hours of being admitted, I was in surgery. He not only took control, he brought in a Gastroenterologist and Rheumatologist to to consult with me to make sure all my issues were being addressed and that they were all on the same page. He followed up with me every day and actually sat in a chair (as he did with our initial meeting) and talked to me as long as I needed. He also gave me his personal cell number in case I had any questions or needed him. I was discharged after after 15 days. I'm still recovering. He warned me from our initial meeting that it will be a long process. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Bruno for saving my life and wish all doctors were just like him! P.S. I was admitted to the same hospital for the same thing two months prior - different doctor, kept me for 5 days and sent me home feeling the same as when I got there and continued suffering until I went back. Thank God for Dr. Bruno!

From the moment I meet doctor Michael Bruno in Mease Countryside hospital I was welcomed by a warm and friendly staff who made me feel comfortable and at ease. Dr. Bruno then took the time to attentively listen to my concerns, asking relevant questions and displaying an impressive depth of knowledge and compassion. His exact words “I want you to be positive, we are going to get you out of this pain flair after your back surgery and you are going to be fine” After a back surgery and recovery with some up’s and downs Dr.Bruno worked closely with my surgeon. This not only gave me confidence in his ability to diagnose and treat my condition. He helped to control my Pain and better prepare me for my next surgery. He is a very kind and empathetic Doctor that shows real concern for his patients. I and very fortunate.

I was admitted for an intestinal blockage. I have Crohn's disease and it gets complicated. Dr. Bruno had an outstanding plan laid out with care. His first concern was that I don't come back - who does that? Doesn't want the money?!!! Dr. Bruno. That was his first concern. The plan was careful and I also learned even more about this disease. I'm so glad he was the hospitalist - I got lucky!!! Anyone should feel confident in this Dr.'s hands. Another aspect is that Dr. Bruno is nice, pleasant, and down to earth. I have seen my fair share of Dr.'s through the years and you don't want to see an abrupt or pompous Dr. when you are well, let alone sick. Dr. Bruno showed only genuine, down-to-earth traits.

Well I was in the hospital for a period of 4 days Dr.Bruno gave me the answers I been looking for my redness in my legs and came with a medical plan and it actually work … excellent doctor

My case of blood clots in my lungs was assigned to Dr Bruno once I was admitted on an emergency basis. The clots were removed successfully. He was compassionate, understanding and took the time to assure me that I was going to be okay. We’re from Canada and I wish I could take him back with us. He is a fine doctor who has the ability to put himself in the position of his patient. Thank you so much Dr Bruno.

Dr Michael Bruno saw me in Mease Hospital when I broke my hip. He is so down to earth . He really listens to you and immediately puts you at ease. I broke my hip and this was my third day feeling a little down but he assured me it was normal and I was doing great! That’s all I needed !

Not good on bedside manner, disrespectful to the patient and family members.

We had a first time experience with doctor Bruno and miss countryside hospital. He was amazingly compassionate, understanding, and helpful! We would recommend him highly to anyone.

Doctor Bruno is extremely professional, compassionate, and caring with patients. We experienced him in he experienced him in a hospital visit and hes knowledge, explanations, and carrying attitude were all over the top. We would highly recommend them.
