List of Shilpa D'cunha's Reviews
On the first visit. I brought in the 1 and only prescription I take. She ordered blood work. The pharmacy called me up and said the prescription was not covered by insurance. When I asked what it was -it was something else. Nothing that I have taken before. When I called the office I was told D'Cunha said that is what I asked for. I brought in the bottle of the prescription so there would not be any questions. I go to the pharmacy to pick it up which ended up being a different amount and they told me I had another prescription from her. I called the office again to find out what was going on and was told I have a UTI. The office said Dr. D'Cunha called and left a message. I checked my call logs and messages and she did not call. I go to the lab to get blood work and they asked me- Why didn't the doctor order a cholesterol screening??????????? I had no idea. When I went back to Dr. D'Cunha for my follow up for my bloodwork- she asks the same question- Why didn't they do a cholesterol screening? Really???????????. She then told me she was not going to continue seeing new patients and told me I had 30 days to find a new primary. I am new in the area and she was recommended by a co-worker. Since then I have found a primary care physician I'm very happy with.
The worst experience I have ever had. This happened after my 1st visit-Prescribed the wrong medication. Then told me that's what I asked for. I brought the prescription bottle with me to show what I was taking. Then prescribed the wrong amount. Never called me to tell me I had a UTI. I was at the pharmacy and that told me I had another prescription. It was an antibiotic for the UTI. I called the office and that's how I found out. Then sent me for blood work but did not order a cholesterol screening. The lab asks me why didn't Dr. D'Cunha order a cholesterol screening. When I go back for my follow up appt. about bloodwork Dr. D'Cunha says why didn't the lab do a cholesterol screening. I'm new in the area. I have found a good primary Dr.
Worthless doctor. Went for arm and hand numbness and pain. She refused Rx for gabapentin, said I might abuse it, gave a ineffective injection of cortisone. I had to make my own appointment with Orthopedic Specialist, who prescribed gabapentin and scheduled an MRI, which showed collapsed discs in neck and trapped nerve, which was causing my pain. The gabapentin which Dr.Shilpa refused, has helped tremendously, and I am scheduled for further treatment with the specialist. Medicare did not cover her exorbitant costs. Avoid!
She doesn't understand the real meaning of life. When I told her that I couldn't afford the MRI that was $450 at the time. Trying to take care of my injured wife who's medical bill took up all the extra money. Dr. Dcunha still went off on me even after told I'm trying to work on myself. She told she was dropping as a patient. Plus Interfered with my future medical procedures. Run
very caring, warm, and compassionate =, takes her time with her patients listens to what i have to say. the office is friendly, funny and lovable. will not go elsewhere.
She is very thorough, takes her time. Straight forward yet kind. Exactly what you would want from someone you trust with your healthcare.
I've been seeing Shipa D'Cunha for over a year. The year before starting with D'Cunha, I had gotten the flu that eventually turned into bronchitis then pneumonia. This past year while travelling, I got the flu that converted into bronchitis again. But, I met with her upon my return, and I really think her treatment plan prevented conversion into pneumonia again. My recovery period was far shorter than the previous year.
very caring and friendly doctor office , best experience so far . she took time to explain every thing to me and answered all my questions

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
