Dr. Donofrio is plain spoken. He has always taken the time at my visits to listen carefully to my concerns. He answers questions in language that I can understand. I never get the feeling that he is rushed. And, best of all, he has a wealth of knowledge that results in the best outcomes for my medical issues.

I took my 94 year old Mom to this Dr Don a couple of times. One day I had asked the Nurse to check her for a UTI before the Dr came in. She got them often and I could always tell because she would be confused and slur. When the Dr came in I told him and he got angry at the Nurse for doing the test and said "You will get false positives if she hasn't cleaned thoroughly first." He refused to test for a UTI even though I told him plainly she had all the symptoms. He came across as a condescending jerk! The UTI worsened and eventually she developed pneumonia and had to be hospitalized. He is a worthless quack in my opinion. We also tried two other Drs at Island Doctors because they were the only choice for Humana, and found them all uncaring and doing the bare minimum instead of taking care of her. The whole place should be shut down in my opinion.

Dr. Daniel J. Donofrio, MD laughed and put me in hospital regardless of myself and nurse recommending he not take chance with my paradox to many medicines, five days in hospital with IV antibiotics witch removed the enamel of my teeth, recovery was years, he also let me (60yo.) suffer withdrawal from 9 year use of prescribe drugs saying; i never heard of anyone dying from withdrawal, hypocrite doctor, stay away, you know more then he will, ever, EMJ
