Heather Luing's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Luing is totally inattentive, uninterested, and downright rude to her patients. Spends as little time with patients as possible, does not listen, and does not explain her diagnosis & treatment plan. Extremely self-centered to the point of arrogance. We could go on, but you get the gist. Luing should not be working in the mental health field, period. How she is able to practice medicine, especially with vulnerable patients, is beyond us. Watch your back. Would not recommend.

This woman should not be allowed to practice medicine and definitely should not be permitted to work in the mental healthcare field. She oozes contempt for the vulnerable patients in her care as well as the staff who has to work with her. She does not listen to patients, has extremely poor communication skills, and spends as little time with patients as she can get away with. No explanation of her diagnosis and does not discuss treatment plans. Arrogant with an elevated sense of self-importance. Watch your back.

Thia woman dressed in scrubs and lab coat along with a mask and face shield in order to create a ruse attempting to convince our school board to make our kids wear masks! This is deceitful behavior and this "doctor" should seek treatment herself. Inexcusable.

I went to her website that gave an option to schedule a new patient visit, and pick a time ($400 for first visit). I clicked on an available time, and scheduled. Received a text later that said they have it, and will follow up. I responded to text and it gave me option to confirm - I confirmed. I never heard from anyone so I called the number on the website, and left a message (Believe it to be Dr's cell #). Anyway, never heard back - drove 45 minutes to appt. Waited 20 minutes - 5 minutes past my scheduled appt to be told - "huge mixup", and Dr was at another office, with another Patient. Now seeing the other reviews with this Dr having - no empathy. I don't expect a response. There are Dr's that have a "God complex" of their time, and here one is. I earn $200 per hour @ 100% booked. Wonder if she'll pay me my $400; for her blowing off my appt. Her worst case = inept or uncaring, best case = un-professional... Steer clear. I wasted a week of needing care!

Great advice and really understood my situation.

Dr. Luing is very direct and perceptive. She understood my situation and told me what I needed to hear and not what I wanted to hear. She is not a pill pusher and is looking out for the best outcome for myself and I am sure other patients. Its hard to do in a high paced hospital environment... thank you.

She is very concerned for me as a patient and tells what i need to hear and not what i want to hear. I highly recommend her if you are looking to get better and not just another pill pusher.

Discharged patient with diagnosis of acute psychotic disorder with no recommendation for further treatment or advise to caregiver. Did not communicate while inpatient. Gave 6 hours notice by hospital that patient would be released to the street if not picked up. CRUEL!

Don't Do It! Dr. Luing is arrogant and has no concept of empathy what so ever. Life is way too short to waste your precious time or your precious mind on this one. You will be nothing but a page in the DSM to her. Keep on searching.

It's hard to trust reviews, especially when it comes to "mental health" patients. It's easy to fall for the old stereotype. "Oh,they must have anger issues" or "They are probably drug seekers and didn't get there way", what have you. Trust me Dr. Luing is not worth risking your mental stability. If you are looking for a Psychiatrist you most likely are struggling in some area and have a little or a lot of fear. You need to know that your provider can be trusted, has empathy and values you as a unique human being, who has a right morally and legally to actively participate in your own care. This is not Dr. Luing. She should not be working in this field. Her arrogance and "my way or the highway" attitude, together with her complete lack of humanity really messed with my head. Stay Away! YOU ARE WORTH IT! Keep on searching for a better doctor.
