Great surgeon but terrible billing practices. They make you pay in full up front (thousands) and after insurance pays them, they do not reimburse you for what was covered by insurance. Months go by and all you get is “we are working on it.”

I damaged both shoulders lifting weights for 25 yrs. Excellent surgeon , explained what I needed and repaired my tendon tear. I was very impressed and had the other shoulder done a year later, that was 11 yrs ago and I play golf 3 times a week. He is a straightforward person, some people are put off by that but I had no problem with him.

GREAT experience! Dr Northrup and Pete were wonderful. The office staff including X-Ray are also great! To put things into perspective, I had my knee replaced by someone else in 2018. I was never without pain after my replacement. I couldn't walk far distances, couldn't ride a bike, daily activities were tough--I'm in my early 40's so difficult to accept. Dr Northrup and Pete robotically replaced my patella through my previous replacement incision. When I tell you I woke up from surgery with zero pain, I mean ZERO pain. I was ready to start walking before my legs were unnumb from the epidural. I felt shockingly good! They provide you with step by step instructions to follow at home. This includes diet, what to do, what not to do, and they are always available if you need anything. I was nervous initially but there was nothing to be nervous about. I completed 6 weeks of intensive PT and feel stronger than I have in years. I am about 7 weeks post surgery and I can ride a bike for miles, I'm working out 4 times a week, and for the first time in a VERY long time, I have ZERO pain in my knee. Dr Northrup and Pete gave me my life back!

I can not recommend dr Tod Northrop. I can not say he is bad or good. My experience right from the beginning raised red flags right and left. 3 days before surgery I fired him and went to another dr and it has been a very professional and rewarding experience. Just be careful. Not what or who he says he is.

If I could give them a negative 5- I would-the only person that was nice was Dr Wheeler and the girl who does the XRAY--Brittni has a severe attitude problem-she needs to go-Dr Northrup thinks he is GOD and he is the only one that is right-people at therapy thinks he is the worse-check around before you allow him to cut on you-once he does the surgery you will never see him again-they charge my insurance company $1800 for a hinge brace that sells on line for 400-what a rip off-I woulnt take my dog to this place TODAY IS 5/20/2020 AND RECEIVED A BILL FROM HIS OFFICE THAT I OWE 389.20 AND WAS TOLD THAT WHEN I WAS A PATIENT THAT WHAT EVER THE INSURANCE PAYED THAT IS WHAT THEY ACCEPT-HE IS BILLING ME ALL THE WAY BACK TO 9/25/19 EIGHT MONTHS LATER-I GUESS FROM THE VIRUS HE LOST MONIES NOW HE IS GOING TO TRY AND COLLECT WHEREVER HE CAN- I WAS TOLD THRU THE LETTER THAT THIS WAS THE LAST BILL AND MY BILL WILL BE REFERRED TO A COLLECTION AGENCY-CALL THE BILLING DEPARTMENT MULTIPLE TIMES AND NEVER A RETURN CALL-HAD TO CALL THE MAIN OFFICE TO PAY THE BILL-IF I DIDNT THEY PROBLABLY TURN IT OVER TO THE COLLECTION DEPARTMENT-WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR JOBS AND INSURANCE VIA THIS VIRUS-HE DOESNT CARE AS AS ALONG HE GET HIS MONIES

I have to say that Dr. Northrup and his staff have been amazing through every interaction. Highly recommended.

Dr Northrup has seen me for two different injuries. The first was due to a botch shoulder surgery. He repaired it and I healed in six weeks as promised. The second time, I saw his PA first because he had a death in the family. The PA suggested a diagnosis and sent me for an MRI. When I returned, I saw Dr. Northrup who explained that I didn't have what the PA suggested, luckily. He then explained what I did have and how to remedy it. I was very happy that it didn't require surgery; only physical therapy. I would recommend him as he is a highly competent doctor who takes time to explain diagnosis and procedures.

I have never met an individual who cares so very little about those around him whether it be his employees or his patients. If you aren’t an athlete or need a joint replacement he could not care less. He will spend minimal time with you then pass you off to his PA, who is wonderful but a little rough around the edges. Anytime I called in to speak with him or ask a question he wouldn’t even bother returning my calls. I had surgery with him a while ago and I am still in extreme pain. He says he fixes the problem but I wouldn’t be surprised if he does the bare minimum and collects his check. He is a very cold, uncaring man who seems to care more for the quantity of his care over the quality of his work
