After taking my friend there for a follow up appointment, we waited an hour and a half. She was NOT even seen by the doctor. She walked out and they have NOT even contacted her to see what happened!!! She could be passed out on the floor and nobody cares!!! Most unfriendly office I have ever been to. And I’ve been to alot of offices!!! WOULD NOT RETURN THERE!!!!
My eye is worse after having cataract surgery. There is debris under the lens, the wrong lens was put in and the only way they wanted to correct the issue was with drops that raised the pressure. I have had another surgery to correct the issue & will have to have another lens put in due to Dr. O’ s mistakes. Think twice before letting him or his daughter touch you! Please get another opinion
everybody us very experienced and friendly.
Dr William Oktavec Pretty through exam. I liked him. BUT. HIS HELPERS COULD CARE LESS. I just got off the phone with one of the helpers and I asked when was my last eye exam. All I said was my name and asked when was my eye exam last year. Extremely Quick to tell me March 15 of last year and DID NOT ASK ME IF I WANTED To MAKE AN APPOINTMENT OR WHAT WAS Going ON WITH ME. SAID YOU HAVE A GOOD DAY. AND HUNG UP. VERY ABRUPT.
I was seen for an eye exam which has always consisted of an exam for glasses and contacts. At the end of the exam I was given a prescription for glasses. When I asked the tech for my contact prescription, I was told that because there was not an Optometrist in the office that they were no longer providing scripts for contacts. I have never had contact with an Optometrist in this office in all the years that I have been seen in the office. Why would an Optometrist be needed on site in order for the Dr. to provide me with an contact lens script? Makes no sense. I was given the name and number for another Dr. to see in order to get a contact script. I plan to have another eye exam else where because I do not feel that the tech that performed the basic test before I saw the Dr. was competent. The tech appeared to be confused about every test / equipment that she performed or used. After waiting approximately 50 mins for my eyes to dilate, I asked the tech how much longer would I need to wait? She proceeded to shine a flash light in my eyes to see if my pupils were dilated. Never in my life heard of this. I was then told she needed to clean the room. Why? I'm the only one that was in the room that I was going back to, so why did it need cleaning? Makes no sense. I just feel as though I was given the run around, poor service and charged $135 that was a waste of money. I will never go back to this office and definite not recommend it!! Very, very dissatisfied!!
Well, it's been 15-20 yrs since I had Cateracts removed by Doctor OKTAVEC. Started seeing double images when I would turn my head left or right. I asked my optometrist at MY EYE DOCTOR, Ari Anne, told me that I might need a "YAG". Yup, YAG. ??? What the hay is that. After talking with my primary, I went online for more information and found out that's only the removal of my lens in each eye for polishing and VIOLA, it will only take a few days. The funny thing is, when I went to renew my drivers license I took the eye exam and passed without my glasses I HAVE WORN GLASSES FOR 55 YEARS and now at 77 I don't have to! FIVE STARS FOR DR "OK" . . . BULLSHOT T
I want for a eye exam only to find out in order to have my eyes exam it would be additional fee. He only will see the health of your eyes. I was was shocked to know I was not going to have a full eye exam. I had gone to him 18 months ago and had a full exam. Did tell me maybe if I had a small correction in my lenses it would help. How would he know without doing a FULL exam. Only those drops.
Unfortunately, what began as a very efficient 9am appointment ended after two hours in the office with a less than positive feeling. The staff and Dr.Octavek do a very thorough exam. Today all we well until I was placed in the last room where I was told by the person that Dr. Octavek was with another patient and would be with me in about 5 minutes. Unfortunately, I saw no one for another 35 minutes! Dr Octavek upon entering and asking me how I was received the brunt of my frustrations. If anyone had taken 10 seconds to open the door and tell me that the doctor was delayed with post op or that they were waiting for a report from the retina specialist...I would have fully understood. Their mishap was in not having the courtesy to do just that! Hopefully, with me voicing my frustration over this the good doctor will ask his staff to be more cognizant of the patient’s time and extend the simple courtesy of informing a patient waiting over 30 minutes that there is a delay...especially when told “ around 5 “ would be the wait. Other than that, I have no issues and feel the staff and Dr Octavek offer a very thorough exam.
Great doctor office the whole team works nicely together and the are practicing very safe Covid conditions
On vacation and needed to see an opthalmologist in a hurry. The staff was welcoming and very professional. Got us in right away. Our doctor diagnosed my daughter's injury and helped her get immediate pain relief. SUPER medical expertise. Saved our vacation. Would very highly recommend this practice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
