Dr Santana was very professional and courteous She took time to assess my condition and took the appropriate steps to alleviate my distress. I left Cano health confident that I made the right choice.

I went in to see Dr Hernandez last Wednesday for a womens related infection at Cano health.She performed the culture for the infection and also asked if I wanted a Pap smear which I agreed upon. Today I went in for my results and she told me the result from one of the cultures was no infection. When she told me that I told her how surprised I was because I have the same symptoms and that it doesn’t feel right. She did tell me that my papsmear was abnormal and that those symptoms were related to the abnormal Pap and not the vaginitis culture. I asked the lady at the front test for a copy of my Pap smear so I can show my gyno. In the paperwork she handed me the paper said that the vaginitis culture was never performed by labcorp and they never received it. Dr Hernandez lied in my face about my culture having no infection when she knew it was never performed! I only found out that the test wasn’t done because the receptionist gave me my results by paper. I feel violated as I trusted her

I saw Dr Dilcia Hernandez at Cano health for a womens related infection. She performed a culture to test for vaginitis/yeast. She asked me if I wanted also a Pap smear and I agreed. She told me to return to Cano in one week to discuss the results from the Pap and vaginitis culture. I went into Cano to see Dr Hernandez today for the results and she told me I had no infection from the vaginitis culture. She said I have an abnormal papsmear. I told her I couldn’t believe I have no infection because I have such bad symptoms and it doesn’t feel right. She told me the symptoms were maybe from the abnormal Pap smear. She gave me a referral to see a gynecologist for the abnormal Pap. I checked out with the front desk and asked the check out lady if she could print me the abnormal Pap so I can show my Gyno. The front desk lady accidentally printed out all of my test results and told me keep all of them for my records. When I got home my husband and I were looking at my results and saw that labcorp reported that they never received the vaginitis culture and that the vaginitis culture was not performed. Dr Hernandez lied to me and didn’t reveal to me that the labcorp didn’t perform the test. She hid the information and lied that I have no infection when she knew that it was never performed and clearly she has no way to know or not if I have an infection without the culture result. She had no care for me when I told her my symptoms were really bad and that I couldn’t believe there was no infection. I feel violated and very upset that she lied to me and that she doesn’t care about my well-being as a patient/person I trusted her as a physician and I wouldn’t of ever found out the test wasn’t performed if I didn’t ask the lady checking me out for my Pap smear results. If this doctor would lie to me and leave me in such discomfort then she could do this to anyone. This is malpractice and unethical. I’ve never experienced anything like this from a doctor. I now will probably record the next doctor I see as I’m so traumatized that something like this has happened to me. I now after one week of waiting don’t know if I have an infection or not because of this doctors negligence and she obviously didn’t care about her oath she took as a doctor. She is disgraceful I hope she doesn’t hurt any patients in the future because this is truly something so traumatizing to me and I’m writing this review to put it in record in case she decides to hide another patients results or lie to them about a diagnosis.

The facility is good for patients without health insurance, but if you can shop around, I would go somewhere else. The facility looks run down, the bedside manner of the doctor was not good. The appointment felt rushed, she didn't go through the assessment throughout, just asked me what I needed right away then did a short assessment. I didn't feel comfortable, and will be looking for another primary care provider.

Dr. Hernadez is very professional and proactive. She partners with her patient to reach health goals.
