List of Antonio Poto's Reviews
I came to Florida 6 years ago after seeing a pain doctor in NY. I was worried about the care I would receive here. I started seeing Dr Poto and all my fears were gone. I find him to be a Doctor who truly cares about his patients. He is not only a great Doctor but he is also a great person. Whenever I mention Dr Poto to anyone, I get the same response. He is the BEST.
My husband Michael and I have been patients of Dr Poto for 6 years. We both feel he is the most thoughtful, caring and honest Doctor we have ever met. He is one in a million and anyone who knows him feels the same way. If you want the best in pain management, go to Pioneer
It took several weeks to get all the paper work done, MRI, calls back and forth, etc. When it was time to make my first appointment, I was told that they DON'T take Florida Blue, Blue Options. I should've checked also. Very disappointing. My insurance is taken practically everywhere.
I rarely write a negative review: However, when I called in I was hung up on when I was frustrated when the Dr will not see me and the NP canceled all appointments for next week after two separate injuries, doesn't a doctor have any responsibility to care for his patients anymore? I had a fall, my jaw, and forehead were swollen, black and blue, then 4 days later I twisted my neck to create an excruciating pain. I called and set up an appointment, then I got a call that the NP was out for the week so they wanted to reschedule for 2 weeks more, I already waited 10 days. , Dr. Poto is an outstanding doctor, however, you see him once, then you see an APRN (nurse practitioner) from there forward. I was put off considering I have moderate to several damages in my cervical spine and do not want to live on pain medications, I was looking for alternatives. He seemed like the guy, however, he won't see me, just his Nurse Practitioners, which are under educated and under experienced in comparison. Why should I be forced to see someone with less experience and education, here is why: Because the visit is billed the exact same way with my insurance whether you see the Dr. or the Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner is paid far less, educated far less, and has less experience but charges the same amount. Florida healthcare has gone to crap! SOMEONE ACTUALLY WROTE ON A REVIEW "complimentary coffee and water in the waiting room", really? That is what makes a doctor's office a good place to go. I am seeking out a D.O. that has time to see me and not push me off to someone under qualified, I am filing a Google Complaint, big deal, but, I am also filing a claim with my insurance carrier (Cigna), The Department of Health. 4052 Bald Cypress Way, Bin C75. Tallahassee, Florida, The Florida Medical Association, 1430 Piedmont Dr E Tallahassee, FL 32308 and the American Medical Association. No Doctor should put off seeing a patient with cervical spine issues dating back 6 years, having had injections, taking minimal medications, not hard narcotics, I don't want that, I wanted alternatives, that's why I went to him, but, I was injured twice and he does not have time to see me. This is, in my opinion, borderline malpractice, at the very least he should have referred me to an urgent care facility, or another doctor. I called my surgeon who referred me to him, they set me up an appointment and asked me to go to an orthopedic urgent care center to have an immediate x-ray, and have the results sent over to their office, if necessary they will see me immediately, thats medical care, this office is not professionally established to care properly for people with serious spinal or orthopedic issues that can be life-changing, even life-threatening and I am going to make sure someone other than Google is aware of it! Unhappy with Dr Poto's Pioneer Pain Management Office here in Port St Lucie, FL.

Dr.Poto and Melinda are the most caring medical professionals I have met in my chronic pain journey. Their knowledge and motivation to find out what is causing the pain is top knotch. Their innovation is unsurpassed you really need to look no further if you were like me on a heartbreaking path to finding answers and solutions look no further. Thank you Pioneer Pain Management, you gave me my life back! Sincerely, Charlace Gent
I have Opical Neuralgia at its worst point. The pain was unimaginable that I contemplated suicide until Dr. Poto did several procedures that it relief my pain. I will always have this condition but I can count on Dr. Poto.
By far the best Doctor I have had since my accident. I've seen about a dozen doctors and not 1 could figure out how to stop my pain, most of them just threw pills at me. But Dr. Poto listened to what was hurting me and on his first attempt found a device that's drastically helping to improve my daily life. I use to get 3 hours of sleep every other day. Now I have a normal sleep cycle getting 7-8 hr sleep per day, I can actually choose when I go to sleep now
The best pain clinic in Florida!!!
Dr Poto and staff are phenomenal!!! A Dr that listens and CARES!!!! Thank you sooo much Dr Poto for helping me!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
