Arrogant, paid no attention to any of my answers when he questioned me. Used cadaver bone when I specifically requested that it not be used. As a result of that or dirty surgery (one of my nurse friends told me later he was known for dirty surgeries)- I got a horrific infection that he was willing to treat with oral antibiotics. If not for an out of state physician (my aunt's)- that recommended another surgeon- I would have lost my foot. His office was closed shortly thereafter.

Overall experience was POOR. Dr. Ziolioli was condescending, rude, failed to diagnose timely a MRSA infection from his surgery (he replaced my bone with cadaver bone which I specified in WRITING that I did not want- but he ignored my wishes and when I got the infection told me they had no way to sterilize cadaver bone).He treated my MRSA infection in the BONE with oral antibiotics. Luckily my aunt's surgeon (in Maryland) read my email to her and told them I was going to lose my foot without surgery. So- I had surgery with a reputable surgeon with much more success.Later on, a nurse I work with told me that Dr. Ziolioli is noted for his "dirty surgeries" among nurses.I really wish I had known this in advance and if I'm ever in an emergency situation again and get a similar doctor- I will refuse his treatment.
