Dr. Streufert has changed my life. November 19th 2022, he performed spinal surgery on my C3-C-7. Our first meeting was by absolute coincidence. I asked him for the name of a spinal surgeon. I had been walker-wheelchair bound for several months. In his soft, warm voice he told me: 'I'm a spine surgeon'.. Fellowship at Mayo, Rochester MN. I couldn't believe my ears. I had attempted a past appointment at Mayo Jacksonville. I had contemplated a trip to MN. But here in Saint Petersburg FL I have found Dr. 'Ben Streufert'. Thank you for your diligence, dedication to restoring my body. I am forever greatful to you. In addition to your SUPERPOWER, your warm, caring, and empathetic personality, has won over my entire family! We all thank you for practicing in our town. And for being who you are. 💝
Between the lack of customer service with the clinical authorization department and having a surgeon suggest my cervical pain could be remedied with cardio, I am beyond frustrated with the lack of care I feel I have received. To see him examine my MRI for less than 60 seconds, for an appointment that lasted less than 10 minutes of him actually being in the room, I am unsure how he can justify any billing with my insurance. He performed the same carpal tunnel (which failed to recreate symptoms) and upper extremity strength testing in the 2 appointment prior to my MRI brushed through half of them in my MRI follow up. He suggested an EMG to test for carpal tunnel but followed that by saying they are so backed I would be hard pressed for an appointment. He focused on one symptom not the whole. To be laughed at regarding the possibility of surgical intervention and to be told he wouldn’t because I’m 39 and what if he operated on the wrong disc? As if further diagnostics could not narrow things down? I have never felt so rushed, unheard, and unseen by a provider.
Amazing surgical evaluation with Dr. Streufert. He took so much time to listen to my symptoms and concerns. I told him I'm not capable of a short answer to anything, and he really let me get it all out there. He discussed weighing surgery vs conservative treatment and did not make me feel pressured to make an immediate decision. When I was leaving he said I'm here if you need me, just call. What??!!!! I left feeling that my concerns were heard and that I was given valuable, thoughtful expert advice. I won't hesitate to call when/if surgery is what I want to pursue. I have to mention that I did see a one star review because a patient had a significant wait after their appointment time to see Dr. S. This can be frustrating, but if I think of him giving every patient the time they need to be truly heard. It makes sense. Also, the front desk staff matched his 5 star energy!
Dr. Benjamin Streufert’s expert training, meticulous assessment and surgical skills restored my health. Bedside nurses know who to call should injury upend their lives. When the pain in my fingers, hands, arms, and neck began to change to numbness shortly after getting rear-ended – I went to the office of now retired Dr. Clinton Davis. The excellent team at All Florida Orthopaedic Associates saw the pain etched on my face – roomed me immediately – let me know Dr. Streufert would be seeing me and xrays of my cervical spine were completed. Dr. Streufert – a much younger version of Dr. Davis – reviewed with me my “ugly neck” xrays – did a complete neurological examination – discussed with me his concerns of cervical myelopathy – and counseled me that should I have worsening signs of myelopathy – which include loss of bowel and bladder function – to go to ER immediately. Believe you me, the cervical spine MRI he ordered I got done that same day. Fast forward, three opinions later – when my gait started to decline – I chose Dr. Streufert to be the surgeon to fix the kinks in my three cervical vertebras. I am so thankful for this doctor and his team and the staff who cared for me at Bayfront Health. And to all the teachers of these doctors, nurses and ancillary staff who cared for me – thank you for your service to others. With Joy, Dianne T. Campbell, RN

He is the most caring doctor. He's never in a rush and answers all questions. I trust him.
Very professional. Gave a sense of concern for patient. Very complete in evaluation. Very comfortable to be around and ask questions, which he answered making sure explanation was understood.
When I shattered my ankle and foot, I was "reassembled" by Dr Streufert. Being in the hospital was daunting but Dr Streufert made me feel so comfortable; I felt like a had a friend who was just dropping by to visit. He did a phenominal of pinning and plating me, and I'm back to "playing hopscotch" in less than a year. My follow-up appointments were just as warm and caring as our first meeting. I only wish that Dr Streufert were a Primary Care Physician so I could take all my medical needs to him.
Dr. Ben and his staff were incredible! Very friendly, compassionate and prompt.
The nurse & Doc S. were an absolutely pleasure meet! We actually showed up in work clothes & normally people get judged! NOT 1 time did my husband nor I feel any judgements or feel bad in any way at all! The doc actually seemed to have REAL concerns about my husbands health & helping him! He was kind, compassionate & nonjudgmental! As someone with severe anxiety & panic attacks, social phobia & Agoraphobia, I FELT VERY COMFORTABLE & WELCOMED! A DOC THAT IS KIND & CARES IS HARD TO FIND NOWADAYS!!!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
