Saw this md for three visits over three weeks and three medicine changes! I had psych experience with two excellent doctors, so I know the real deal. Welch ain't it. Very sketchy education from St. George ??? The islands? He was all over the board. REALLY IMPRESSED WITH HIMSELF!!!! If you feel you need care in Pinellas call Walter Griffith, MD. He has it together. Knows medicines and disorders. Will put together a treatment plan. He is very busy!!!!! Stay after it.

I work in the medical field and a colleague recommended Dr. Welch and my family and I have benefitted greatly. He doesn't really say what to do, but how things work so you're in charge and informed with what works best for you, not what someone else thinks is best for you. I trust him and can see he really cares.

I am in the medical field and appreciate the fact that Dr. Welch has pursued excellent training in psychiatry at my Alma Mater (Chapel Hill), worked as a House Officer in INternal Medicine, completed fellowships in forensic psychiatry (my alma mater) and at Harvard (TMS). I know him personally and he has taken excellent care of two members of my family and I have recommended him to several others.

Dr. Welch really made a difference in my life. I never did thank him, so maybe when he reads this he will know that I am truly grateful. My experience was..I was taking antidepressants, many different brands over the years, prescribed by other doctors but things were not doing me any good. A gym instructor that I knew recommended Dr. Welch to me. He (Dr. Welch) very methodically determined which kind of meds I should be taking and my whole life changed after that. This was about six years ago and all is well.

Dr Welch was recommended by my counselor and he has been definitely very helpful and has stayed in close touch with my counselor and family doc (who also recommended him). He is professional and respectful and I recommend him.
