Dr Smithers is a brilliant surgeon who is the reason my daughter is able to breath without a ventilator during the daytime. He was able to diagnose and resolve an issue that had stumped several other physicians. I could not recommend anyone higher than Dr Smithers.

Dr. Smithers operated on my daughter twice. The first when she was 48 hours old, and the second when she was 15 months. These were long difficult surgeries. He is compassionate, trustworthy, down to earth and has a great sense of humor! Highly recommended!

I met with Dr. Smithers while I was still pregnant with my son so we could start planning surgery. I was extremely stressed about the situation but I felt much better after speaking with him. Since that time both he and his staff have been wonderful to work with in planning my son's surgery. I was able to e-mail Dr. Smithers with questions and felt he was available as needed. My son had his surgery 2 weeks ago and Dr. Smithers was awesome, very compassionate and a great clinician. My son did great and is recovering well. I would highly recommend this doctor.

Dr. Smithers operated on my 4-year-old daughter. Needless to say it was a very scary time for my husband and me. Dr. Smithers put us at ease and gave our daughter superb care. Our daughter is doing great and I credit Dr. Smithers for her fast recovery.
