List of Florida Cancer Specialists And Research Institute's Reviews
My mother was diagnosed with a rare cancer. She chose to go to Moffitt who regularly deals with this cancer for her diagnosis and treatment plan but Moffitt said she could go to a local oncology center for her chemo administration to lessen the commute. She chose Dr. Ho as her administrator. He was to follow the protocols that Moffitt set and treat any chemo related health issues that arose i.e. nausea low platelets etc.. Dr. Ho is apparently only at this location on Wednesdays which delayed the start of her treatments. After the initial meeting Dr. Ho changed Moffitts planned treatment both the time frame of the sessions as well as the chemo amounts. Dr. Ho even acknowledged he had only seen this cancer twice in his entire career. This is an aggressive cancer and my mother got visibly more sick every day. Dr. Hos first chemo session gave her chemo doses significantly different from Moffitts recommendation. After that first session we chose to leave this practice and got to Moffitt for all her treatments.
Would highly recommend. Dr. Ho takes all the time he needs to explain things to you and never ever makes you feel rushed.I also need to add that the hard working oncology nurses are just wonderful always asking if they can do anything more for you and the volunteer also.
The front desk MAs PAs were GREAT I had a wonderful rapport with my Doctor. However Deborah Lyons has absolutely no business dealing with cancer patients. Deborah has zero compassion or care. I spent 4 months being seen there while working through not one but two surgeries the 2nd a bear discussed treatment plans was a mere week away from my first scheduled treatment appointment for cancer which has spread. The Friday before a long holiday weekend I receive a call from Deborah and now after all that all of a sudden theres a problem with my referral I could not start treatment as planned. Talk about a shock almost as bad as my cancer diagnosis She went on to say it was all my fault and I needed to figure it out to be back in touch when I did. OUCH I wasnt scheduled to have a mole removed She was by no means a supportive resource as their website says not even close Had Deborah not treated me so coldly I would have continued to be seen there once I worked everything out. Talk about getting a bad taste in your mouth just one bad apple will spoil the bunch as they say. If shes burnt out then its time to find another job Theres a way you speak to people with a life threatening illness a way that you dont. I just hope the older and even sicker patients arent being treated like that but afraid to speak up. Deborah is 110% the reason Im not being treated by FCS now have a new oncologist. Not a kind person
The staff is friendly and they answer all your questions. Its as comfortable as can be expected for what they do here.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
