List of Gerald Rizzo's Reviews
My husband has been Dr Rizzo's patient for almost 15 years . He has gotten my husband through some rough patches. He is an excellent doctor and the most knowledgeable I have ever seen. His staff, Bianca and Linda are super. Thank you Dr Rizzo and staff.
Staff unprofessional and rude..worst medical experience ever..
He is the best
Dr Gerald Rizzo was the most kind and compassionate doctor that my husband had among all the doctors treating him for cancer and complications that occurred due to cancer, one of them being kidney failure. He really treated my husband with sincere dignity and spoke to him with such kind comforting words that still bring tears to my eyes when I think about them.
Iam not his patient. He was my mother-in-law's dr and was recommended by her family doctor. I was very upset that he keeps pushing her to do dialysis when she told him no many times that she does not want to. all he wants is to make money and don't really care what the patient's opinions are. he did not suggest other way that he can help...it's either his way or the coffin.RUN!
Dr Rizzo is wonderful. He save my husband's life when he was in Acute Renal Failure after an accident.
Mr. know it all. Won't listen to the patient. "My way or the coffin". Run everyone Run!! There are other Kidney Doc's in the area much better than he or his loney toon partners.
I am not Dr Rizzo's patient, but a nurse who works beside him. As a RN, it's my responsibilty to phone MDs when an order for a consult has been placed. I did just that -phoning Dr Rizzo to inform him of the consult. He raised his voice to me, yelling over the phone, angry at me b/c my call was "an inconvenience" (He was on-call). The degrading comments went on: "Who are you? Are you really an RN? Do you have a license? Who do you think you are calling me at this time of night? (on call). Sure hope he has more respect for his patients. I was given none. It is important for patients to be informed of the good and the bad. Character counts and true colors do eventually shine through.
One of the most knowledgeable doctors ever. Very concerned and nurturing to his patients. Nephrology is his expertise.Dr. Rizzo saved my, husband's life, and continues so this very day. T.R.
Bilateral renal artery occlusion (85%) completely missed--should have been suspected due to HPT and could have been found on a renal arteriogram. Pushed to schedule dialysis shunt long before needed; dialysis patient "stable" financially conducive to this doctor who has a partial interest in area dialysis centers. Now, eight years later, I still don't need dialysis; got bilateral renal artery stents and creatinine level still under 3. Rizzo really missed the boat.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
