This office is appallingly managed. The front desk receptionist is dismissive and astoundingly rude. The back room assistant is pleasant but inept. Appointments are cancelled without informing the patient. I drove from Naples to St Petersburg for my scheduled pulmonary function test and was told the test-giver wasn't there & hadn't shown up in over three weeks - for reasons unknown. I asked why I wasn't informed of the cancellation and the receptionist replied, with a mouthful of Doritos and a cup of guacamole in her hand, "that's not my job". It's hard to get thru on the phone so once I went to the office only to find the door locked, lights out. The door says office hours M-F 9:00 - 5:00 and my attempt was at 3:45. I wonder if it's a "front" of some sort. It's like no other medical office I've ever heard of; they seem intent on driving patients away.

IMHO This doctor is incompetent. I went in for, what I later learned, was a dangerous exacerbation of COPD. He did did the routine "Pulmonary Function Test", which would have disclosed I had only 20% lung capacity - very severe COPD.He did not address this at all, but booked me into an overnight sleep apnea test. He next wanted to book another expensive overnight test, this time with a CPAP - I said no and never came back.I was later hospitalized for an even more severe exacerbation - then saw another pulmonologist. This one properly diagnosed me and immediately referred me to a study for a new prescription COPD specific drug. I am doing better now and aware of my health condition - no thanks to Dr Chandarana.I really hated giving him even one star, but I had to to get my message out. It is my opinion that his prime, overriding concern is keeping his overnight sleep apnea test rooms booked. They cost PLENTY - and he doesn't even have to be there!

I have a referral when I called to make appointment because of my breathing problem rude person kept hanging up on me tells me to call someone else then tells me after I was given appointment that there not taking new patients I'm sorry I'm sick I've been in the hospital twice this week I'm having problems with my breathing
