List of Jayaprakash K. Kamath's Reviews
Dr. Kamath is a hidden gem in the world of Western medicine. His bedside manner is exceptional
Staff was friendly and efficient. Doctor had a nice bedside matter and seemed to be quite caring.
I greatly appreciated how much time and attention this Dr. gave to me during my initial visit I feel like I understand my gastro issues better than ever before.
He fires you as a patient if you will not take Humira. Be warned.

Very uncaring doctor. The place is a colonoscopy mill. He wouldn’t listen to my concerns and wouldn’t give me any general advise until I got a colonoscopy. He made me wait in a freezing cold room for 20 minutes on two separate occasions while I could hear him laughing it up with a patient in the next room. He didn’t even refer to me by name instead greeting me with “Oh you’re the one with the colitis.” What? I couldn’t believe my ears He spent maybe 5 minutes with me and I swear I was still trying to ask him questions as he rushed me over to the receptionist to schedule the procedure. Unbelievable. Now for some crazy reason I went ahead and scheduled a colonoscopy with this jerk. Well after I woke up from sedation he had flown the coop and I didn’t get an appt. to see him for another two weeks. KAching another copay I think it’s partly a Florida thing. Healthcare down here is atrocious. My last gastroenterologist sat down with me afterwards and explained everything and spent time with me so I could ask all my questions. I asked the nurse why he left without saying anything and she told me he talked to me while I was still on the table. I wasn’t even awake yet Who does that? Oh and I noticed spots of blood on the sheets too. And I bled a little more for a day or two. I am not sure how he is getting good reviews. I believe some to be friends and family. I would recommend ANY other doctor in town. Oh and some not all of his staff was unfriendly and one was downright rude
After 6 months of other health issues This Gem of gentlemen wasis patient. He listened provided care above any Dr. he had kudos from many others unprovoked from me. I heard others referring to him while staying in Hospital for Stroke. HE provided a level of care not seen before. Mind you Ive seen over 100 Drs in my 54 years. Be honest with him tell all info you can trust him and at least try his suggestions. Heck thats why you go to doctors isnt it?
My gallbladder was removed in November 2016. 2 mos later I had severe chest pain so I went to the emergency room at Northside Hospital. I had a quad bypass in 2014 so doctors were convinced it was a heart problem. After a number of tests with no diagnosis my liver was showing signs of stress. Dr Kamath was asked to do a consult. He said it was most likely a gall stone. It was and he found it lodged in my bile duct causing great pain. He removed it.Pain gone liver now OK. Fantastic
Great doctor has an excellent nursing pract. named Sally. I have received excellent care at this office. Far superior to other gastro doctors in this area.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
