We received excellent care provided by Dr. Canas. Dr. Canas has a fantastic bedside manner with children and seems to genuinely care. He took extra time to explain all points of testing and treatment.

Dr. José Antilio Canas is one of the most amazing physicians that I have had the pleasure of working with. He was the endocrinologist for two of my three children. He was very patient, personable, and always answered all of my questions and was very encouraging. His bedside manners were superior! He always made sure to thoroughly explain conditions, different treatment options, and the effects of each treatment on my child, in particular. I never left an appointment feeling rushed, and I never left an appointment left feeling confused or not having the knowledge that I needed to care properly for my children. He was also supportive of non-traditional medications, which meant a lot , considering I have a child who survived a traumatic brain injury. We miss him dearly here in Jacksonville, FL at Nemours!

I am so thankful that we found Dr. Canas. He is, by far, the BEST endocrinologist in Jax. He takes so much time with us and answers every question with an open mind and wonderful knowledge.

I can't say enough about this man! I thank God everyday that we took our son to him. He is a great doc and the best aspect is he CARES. He is the most caring doctor and would go out of his way to answer any questions and to make you feel at peace with the decisions he places. I thank God for doctors like him.
