Julia Pfaff's Online Review Report Card

I passed the hurdles they required for InspireSleep and received the surgery. Now I am ignored by the professionals who cannot guarantee the results they promise. Be prepared to be told it doesn’t WORK for everyone after one year of treatment and activation of the implant, having over 30 + apneas/Hr, which is SEVERE, which is a reduction of about 40% , but still waking my brain every other minute. Does that spell success to you potential candidate for Inspire? I’m still tired when I get up and have trouble functioning all day long. Dr. Pfaff asked me just before going under for the surgery if I had any questions and I said is it going to work and Dr. Pfaff said “that’s the plan”. This plan failed.

***Addendum to my May 17, 2021 review*** Originally, I was supposed to have a single Parathyroidectomy, but a test result showed that I had Thyroid Cancer. Dr. Pfaff did an outstanding job on both my single Parathyroidectomy and total Thyroidectomy. Her minimally invasive surgical technique left no visible scar and allowed me to keep the remaining three Parathyroids. A few weeks after the procedure, I noticed my stamina gradually returned to a level commensurate with my age. I highly recommend Dr. Julia Pfaff because she is a most excellent surgeon and genuinely cares about her patients!

Just wanted to inform people that this Dr does not go to Baycare. They do not accept Baycare even though it says that on their website. Make sure you check before you go!!! They should fix their website so it’s not misleading. The front desk girl can’t answer any questions either. Has to ask everyone else before answering your question.

Great experience with my appointment today. Was not only impressed with Dr. Pfaff's treatment, knowledge & wonderful ability to make me feel completely comfortable & at ease but also confident in her plan for moving forward with care. Her staff were very friendly & as efficient as they could possibly be (while handling a full schedule of patients) but still found time for also making me feel comfortable too. I look forward to continuing my future care with them & will recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Pfaff implanted my Inspire device recently. Excellent doctor and excellent experience with her. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field and presents a very patient focused approach in her practice. Couldn't have been more pleased with Dr Pfaff and her staff.

I'll start off by saying that Dr. Pfaff appears to be a very kind woman. She recently had performed parathyroid surgery on me which was unsuccessful. I understand things don't always work out! I was on a short time frame of about a month before my deductible was to renew which I had met. I know this is not her problem, however, this failure is going to cost me thousands of dollars. I was told at my follow up that a second surgery would be possible before the sunset of my deductible. I called numerous times and never recieved a call back as well as emailed twice. 22 days later from follow up I receive a call back wanting to reschedule test. This left me seven days to get test performed and surgery scheduled. Impossible! I'm a Firefighter who doesn't have a huge disposable income so paying thousands more is devastating! Her staff, with the exception of the nurse that checks your vitals and her P.A. are very miserable people with unfriendly attitudes! Dr. Pfaff had great bedside manor and was always very kind, but I feel it takes more than this to be considered good or great as a physician! I feel I was given false hope by stringing me along with no remorse. I went in blind on a recommendation and not doing my homework and asking more questions has cost me time, aggrevation, and money for a new operation I really don't have at this moment. This was my first surgery and the positive I can take away from this is the lessons and knowledge I have learned from this in not doing more research and blind faith.

Using this doctor was just awful.
