List of Mark Salta's Reviews
Dr. Salta is a wonderful doctor. Very kind, thorough and professional.
Wonderful experience! From the professional, easy website for scheduling my appointment, to the actual visit. Staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. Dr. Salta was the BEST optometrist I've seen in my entire 25 years of eye exams and Rx. glasses. Personable, warm and funny! I would highly recommend this location, Dr. Salta and his staff!
Great service all around very friendly atmosphere Dr Saltra great personality with expert service
I expect protocols during COVID -19, especially in a medical setting. Being short and rude to customers I do not. I would have been a new patient to myeyeDr. I am not a new patient to Dr Salta. Because I have had good care with Dr. Salta in the past, I made an appointment. I used the online appointment option and was pleasantly surprised how quickly I could get in to be seen. I did have to call the office for self pay/no insurance prices. I was quoted $126 for my visit including “Retinal Pictures”. I knew that glasses would cost more, no quote was given for the glasses. No expectations for the appointment were communicated. On the day of my appointment I arrived 20 minutes early due to not knowing the office procedures. The door was locked due Covid and the sign asks you to call when you arrive. I called and let the staff know that I was in my car. I asked if there is any new patient paperwork and I was told no and that I will be called and told to come in at my scheduled time. I did notice three other people went to the door and were let in, this did not concern me at the time. At 11:35AM I called to make sure I was not forgotten out in the parking lot. The staff told me that they have to wait until other people leave before they can bring me into the store/office. At 11:45 AM I received a call to go to the door. With my face mask on, I am let into the store/office by a staff member with blonde hair and she apologized for the delay. I did communicate that I have an hour or so before I had to leave. We stop at a “Covid” table by the door where she hands me a mask, takes my temperature, and gives me one spray of sanitizer on my hands. I held the mask in my hands because I didn’t want to take my mask off inside and I was not sure what she wanted me to do with it. For some reason this seemed to make her upset. So, I asked her if I needed to put the mask on and she said that it’s office policy for me to put on a “Surgical Mask”. The mask she gave me was a $1 mask that we have in my office to give patients when they do not have them, not an N95/99 mask. They are also itchy. So, I put the mask over my own. This seemed to frustrate the lady even more, she told me that is not what she meant. I told her that if these are her rules, I understand, I would prefer it this way. I stood waiting for her to lead me to the next step when she looked at me and said, “Lady, Just. Relax.” I sat there for a second not understanding and not liking that a person, or much less a healthcare professional just gave me attitude for doing what she asked. My second thought was if she can’t communicate lobby policies with me (not even making it to the check in counter) how is she going to communicate with me through the rest of my visit. The quick answer was that she was not. I then told her to please apologize to Dr. Salta, but this office is not the right fit for me. The lady then unlocked and opened the door for me and I left. I was not happy about leaving, I really needed an eye exam and possibly my first 2 pair of glasses. I was surprised that the lady didn’t ask me to wait while she got someone else to take over my visit. After all healthcare is a business where good customer service is needed to be successful. I thought about the doctor missing out on revenue during this time. I am sure he sees limited patients and is needing to make up for months of lost revenue. I waited in my car ( parked directly in front of the door) and thought if staff or the manager calls I will go back in to the office. No call was made , no one else came out to see why I didn’t make it past the door. I sat there for 20 minutes and then left. My suggestion to future patients is to simply ask for a different staff member or the manager. The doctor has no idea what is happening, but it effects you and him just the same.
The best!
I’ve been going to Dr. Salta for years and the experience has always been a great one - very professional, efficient, and positive. Great staff too.
I have a complex vision, always satisfied with Dr.Salta. We moved to Ft.Myers, but still driving to ST.Pete for our eye exams.
I have been a patient of Dr Salta for years. He is the only one of my doctors I don't mind going to. My appointments are quick, thorough, and comfortable. His office staff is helpful, attentive, and approachable. Highly recommend.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
