Neel Desai is overrated. I have keratoconus. One eye is worse than the other. Dr. Desai told me that after cataract surgery I would not need contact lens anymore. He said that he would treat the worst eye first. On the day of surgery he came into the prep room and said he could not treat that eye because of the keratoconus. It was obvious that he did not study my eye exam results and did not prepare before hand. He probably works best on routine cataract cases.

Dr Desai is wonderful as is the entire staff including the women who opens the door for you, she’s a breath of fresh air. Prior to moving to Florida. I’ve been with my New York ophthalmologist for over 30 years, so you can imagine I was a little apprehensive to see a new doctor. But Dr Desai has such a calm demeanor, and friendly way about himself. It was easy to immediately feel comfortable. He just did a cornea transplant on my right eye and it’s healing perfectly.

Dr. Desai is more interested in himself than his patients. I am glad to see more people have challenged his authority and have questioned his decisions on surgery. He is not all that and if he is so confident than he should welcome questions. I had a very bad experience when I had cataract removed. He rushed me like cattle going through the gates and because I blinked too much and it took him off schedule for his 3 minute per patient rule. He started yelping like a puppy not kidding. He is arrogant but also strange and money hungry. Don't recommend him to anyone you care about.

Dr Desai performed the surgery on my wife, my mother-in-law and my daughter, we are all very satisfied with the results, which is why God willing I will perform my surgery too. I recommend the services of Dr Desai!
