How about not harassing people sitting i their cars waiting on one of your patients.
Dr. Collins and his staff are very thorough. I have been a patient of Dr. Collins for 4 years and always have a good office experience. When I had carotid surgery Dr. Collins explained the risks and what to expect during the procedure. I trust him implicitly with my life and health care.
I like Dr. Collins.

Always a great experience!
Jay who was the surgeon in Sarasota that did your hernia repair? Dr Paul Collins did mine in 2012. He put mesh and a plug in. From day one I had a bulge in right igunial. That was pulling and is still pulling to this day 7 years later. I went there it was a workmans comp claim. So my company sent me there. I wish they would have sent me to a hernia expert. Plus I never ever had any digestive issues until after the surgery. I went back there a couple times after surgery complaining. I only seen him once the rest was his assistant. You may want to stay away. He should be held accountable.
If I could rate Dr. Collins zero stars I would. In November of 2014, I had a "hernia repair " with Dr. Collins. The quotes are because, within 3-4 days after his surgery, I had a similar painful ball-like protrusion in the same hernia area. Within the next year, I went back to Dr. Collins 3 or 4 times about this, and each time he said that I "did not and could not" have a hernia. The last time I saw him, he referred me to a pain specialist, and said that I was being "oversensitive " about my pain. Over the next 2 years, I sought out three second opinions. 2 of the surgeons said I had a hernia, but if they operated, it might be worse than before, and the 3rd one said he wasn't sure, so I tried other ways to deal with the daily pain and discomfort. 2 months ago, I found a surgeon in Sarasota who just does hernias. I had the surgery 2 weeks ago. For the first time in 4 years, I do not have a hernia, and I am not in pain from a hernia. To me, Dr. Collins placing the blame on me for having the pain from the hernia ("oversensitive”) was and is unconscionable. If you screw up, at least admit to the possibility that something is wrong if your patient is continually and consistently in pain.
I am taking away a star because the medical community needs to stop with the expectation that patients should wait much beyond their appointment time. This is the first office I have ever visited that is blunt and tells you this upfront. I am still in my working years and if I make a 4:00 appointment and I am not seen until 5:00 that is an additional hour of sick leave/PTO that I did not need to take off. I have stopped going to physicians office where this is routine. It is also mind blowing that their medical history is not completed via a tablet in office or online prior to your visit and seems highly inefficient for their staff to input the information in the computer after patients complete it on paper. Have that option for the 80 years+ population but expect the rest to use an electronic version. Otherwise the doctors, medical assistants and PAs are very nice
I had back Surgery and it looks like someone broke A beer bottle to open me up, and when it was all said and done this So called Dr said it was healing(3 times)from inside out! Wrong!! My abdomen looks like a Crater hole and disgusting,,!! Now have to go to a Wound Care Specialist to get this Crater hole debridded and cleaned out so it can really heal!! Do Not Under Any Circumstances get this Man to Cut on you!! If you do you will regret it period!! He's Rude, and will not look you in the eye when he's telling you all the nonsense!! All he cares about is "Himself"!!! All it is so he can cover his Behind,!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
