Everything was well explained with the options such that it wasn't hard to make decision on actions required to fix the problems with my heart. My only problem was (a) I didn't initially appreciate the enormity of the 'repair' work required and (b) the likely side effects I might have at my age. Once I got that into my head I'm now more patient to to let the recovery period play out and hopefully be fully recovered by November.

Dr. Ovadia and BayCare Morton Plant were absolutely fantastic. Had open heart, valve replacement and aortic aneurysm fixed. There are not enough words in the dictionary to express how professional, caring and competent Dr. Ovadia and Morton Plant were. I strongly suggest Dr. Ovadia if you are looking for a heart Dr.

Dr Ovadia did a partial decortication on my dad after he came in with a large pleural effusion. He did an excellent job and my dad felt a lot better after. Dr Ovadia has a great bedside manner and explains everything in a way the patient can understand

Dr. Philip Ovadia M.D. took the time to explain procedures, informed me of the risks involved, and was thorough in answering my questions. I was very pleased that he took the time to make certain that I was fully informed, and that my expectations were realistic. After surgery he informed my family and answered their questions. Dr. Ovadia, by his actions, proves his commitment to his patients' physical and mental well being.

He saved my life. I had an aortic dissection and emergency surgery. He and Dr Vasalakis worked on me over a 2 day period repairing the issue. He is my hero. I owe him my life.

I found Dr. Ovadia to be very professional and caring. He performed triple bypass surgery on me and the out come has been excellent. My recovery time has been very good with minimal pain and discomfort. I have found him to be an excellent surgeon.
