List of Richard Blanchard's Reviews
Thorough, personable, kind - all the fine qualities of a professional, and an excellent office staf, as well.
I had a history of Adrenal Gland Failure and a Pituitary Disorder that left residual affects, one of which is Low to Deficit DHEA Levels. When Dr Blanchard ordered blood work he omitted the DHEA Hormone. I asked to have my DHEA Level added. He responded, “ It is too expensive”! My Insurance covers this with only a minimal $2.00 Co-Pay. Who is Dr Blanchard looking out for ? ??.. United Healthcare ??! Be Aware!
I give him 1 star because it’s not possible to give him 0. Rude to his staff so they in turn feel it’s ok to be rude to the patients. I live in Tampa, his office is in St. Pete. He cancelled an appointment and didn’t bother to notify me. I will never go back there. Never.
Wonderful, knowledgeable, and experienced doctor who is a no nonsense approach to treating your issue.
First-time bad. Tried again giving him the benefit of the doubt but I regret it so much. I know there are a few bad apples in the medical field, Richard tops them all. Congratulations, for your so-called experience, you are short on good reviews, that must make you an awesome asset to Baycare.
Richard Blanchard doesn’t deserve to have a title as a Dr, if he doesn’t want to work then he should move on! Instead of making patients miserable with his terrible bedside manner, demeaning talk and behavior. Never again... Richard. BayCare must really be in need of endocrinologist to still have you working for them! 1 start to summit review, you don’t deserve nothing!
Answered my questions with clarity based upon numerous scientific references readily available upon request. I found his approach to be open to inquiry. I found his interaction with me to be wholly professional & business-like.
I cannot recommend Dr. Blanchard due to a combination of his approach and his office's customer service. I find his personal manner to be condescending and felt like he was pushing me about using diet pills rather than listening to me about my symptoms. The diet pill would cost $300 a month, and require a $50 copay visit to him every month. He renewed my prescription for only three months anticipating I would lose weight. 10 business days, 9 calls, no renewal. I have to make yet another apt.
I felt like nothing more then a paycheck totally cold void of actual care and feeling pretty much felt like he didnt even wanna do his job . Not to mention a staff of usually three on hand yet cant return calls or offer any real help when they are required . pretty a conductor asleep at the wheel while the rest breeze without any real effort or sense of care .I should have listen to this rating when i saw it before i chose to see him but i hope you make a better choose find someone else
Dr. Blanchard is very good at what he does. He really takes time to ask you your history and tries to be sure he is giving you the right treatments. He isn't quick to give you meds unless absolutely necessary. He is quiet and you can tell as he is reviewing your chart that he is thinking about what would be best for you. I know some folks put a bad review for him and his staff. Yes sometimes they seem standoffish but they are all great. Best to go in with a smile and a good attitude. They are a very busy office so be patient. I have been going to him since 2005 and have been very satisfied with the care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
