Dr Wharton is great. Been through several Gastros trying to figure out what is wrong with my gut. He is the first that really seems to be trying to figure out the problem
Dr Wharton took more then one hour with me, getting to know all about my past medical experiences. He was questioning most of my previous surgeries and listening to my questions about our up-and-coming procedures. The downside to Dr. Wharton is, he is going to retire very soon. He has done his share for the medical profession and feels, he needs some rest.
Oh my goodness! I have never had a member of office staff in a medical practice be so rude! Dr. Wharton came highly recommended, but after this I would never see him for any medical issues! My referral came to their office for unknown cause of abdominal pain and possible gallbladder issues. I was advised that it may be a month to two months out to see them, which I was more than willing to wait. The staff member all but refused to book my appointment saying that they had other patients that needed to be handled before me and I needed my gallbladder checked sooner, which I stated that I had my primary lined up for this and a surgeon if needed as well. She still refused to hear that I have other DIAGNOSED (via recent CT scans) gastrointestinal issues that needed to be addressed and the possibility of other gastrointestinal issues that warrant discussion and possibly testing with a gastrointestinal doctor. Kept insisting that I didn’t need them and that I needed someone else, she wouldn’t even hear me out about my other diagnosed conditions and hung up on me!! I will be contacting the practice manager for certain, but unfortunately a doctor that came highly recommended is now a practice I would never feel safe in! I have never been so humiliated and dehumanized ever by a professional office! For the record the entire call was on speaker and others heard the hurtful treatment and tone I received. I also advised the Palms of Pasadena Emergency staff of how rudely I was treated! Not to mention the office personnel also advised me that the call was on speaker and other office staff and a PATIENT could hear our whole conversation, which is clearly a violation of HIPPA since we were discussing my medical information! A HIPPA violation complaint is already in process!
i would highly recommend Dr. Wharton and his staff, Jan in the office was very nice!
Excellent Staff and Great Doctor.
What an amazing medical practice! The communication and organization are second to none. The contacts from this office and chosen outpatient facility are timely and efficient as is the follow-up. I have always felt well looked after during my 20 years of preventative/ health screening medical care by Dr Wharton and his staff.
Dr Wharton was excellent, as well as his office staff and nurse. I was so worried about what was happening, but the doc stayed with it until problem was found and resolved.
I have always had great informative clearly explained visits where I have come away with a clear understanding of my health issues and the alternative options to resolve
I am a returning patient with years of outstanding service from this provider.
Excellent doctor who provides very detailed information before and after colonoscopies. I have rarely had a doctor who devoted so much time during my intake appointment and after my colonoscopy.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
