List of Sarah Miller's Reviews
Dr Miller gives you her full attention when you’re in her care. She’s truly an expert and professional in her field and I have always had a positive experience. She took extra care to deliver my first born emergency CS after his heart rate dropped due to his umbilical cord around his neck. We were also reimbursed for most of the upfront payments you make after our baby was born. Currently expecting our second and driving an hour to stay with Women’s Care.
Dr.Miller is one of a kind..She has helped me anytime I have issues and always there to answer any questions..100 recommend her..
Dr. Miller came highly recommended. I started seeing her at Women's Care and she is just a ray of sunshine. But ALSO, this morning I had to get a Colposcopy, biopsy, IUD removal, IUD insertion and vaginal ultrasound in the same appt and as you can imagine- I WAS NERVOUS. Dr. Miller did not just bring her awesome energy but was so swift that the pain was MUCH lower than I expected. Dr. Miller is a 10/10!
I feel very fortunate to have found such an amazing doctor. Dr. Miller is very thorough, compassionate and knowledgeable. She also looks out for her patients and makes me feel like I never have to navigate my medical concerns alone. She’s a rare gem. Also, the staff is on point! Additionally, I appreciate that they do not condone patients being late bc it is understood, that would affect every patient’s appointment and experience thereafter, which wouldn’t be fair to others. Staff and doctors here are very attentive, kind and courteous!
I have never felt like writing a review in my life about a doctor because I respect their profession and contributions especially during Pandemic times, but my disappointment is above and beyond anything that I have ever experienced with any doctor or professional practice. I must disclose that I didn't get to meet with the doctor so this review is not about her specific professional performance but the customer service of the practice. I was recommended to Dr. Miller by a friend and decided to join her group practice. The first time I had to wait an hour and a half to be seen not by her but by one of her colleagues. I patiently waiting because I understand that during this pandemic journey practices are under staffed. So for my first meeting today, I didn't arrive the typical half an hour early that I do in case that it could convert into a two hours wait like the last time. I have never visited this particular office before and despite leaving on time for my appointment I got lost and passed the office 3 times until I finally found it. I walked to the office door 7 mins after my appointment (marked by my GPS), and was told that I was late and that the doctor won't be able to see me. I was shocked and in disbelieve hoping that it was a Candid camera moment. I begged to be seen and shared that the last time I waited an hour and a half for them and that I couldn't believe that for getting lost and arriving 7 mins late I would have to re-scheduled. The secretary stated not to "shoot the messenger" to which I totally agree but with the hope that the leadership of the office can provide feedback and coaching to a doctor about proper customer service. I can't bypass the fact that even if I would walked at the exact time it was going to take few minutes to complete the redundant typical paperwork, move to the office and proceed with the scheduled annual check up. It felt like my appointment was a fake one because the doctor was not going to be able to see me after 7 minutes of a check up. I was told a flat no and to be back in another date. Perplexed, I agreed but still in disbelieve. I shared what happened with other colleagues and doctors that I have a close relationship and work with and interesting enough the all used the same term: "that customer service is insulting". After a couple of hours of reflection and trying to think for a good reason to give this practice the benefit of the doubt, I can't find the right reason to excuse this behavior, so I am out. I would change my mind if I was told that the doctor had an unexpected emergency or something along those lines but that was not the case, if anything, I felt like I was shamed for arriving 7 minutes late. I also, work and have to do scheduled balances to meet my duties and the service was going to be paid, we patients are not getting free services so the least that we can expect is some decent customer service. Sorry, but I am so upset that I had to write the first bad review to a doctor ever. I learned about customer service since I was very young and in a world of choices we do not need to settle for less. This is a good way to lose customers one at the time...
Dr. Miller is, by far, the very best doctor I have ever been to, and I'm pretty sure she is the best doctor in the entire universe. Long story short, in 2017, I went through cancer (journey started with a pre-cancerous uterine lining, but then ovarian cancer was also found, so I went through ovarian cancer). Dr. Miller had to hand me off to a gynecologic oncologist once the ovarian cancer was found, yet she is still my regular gynecologist to this day, as I love her so much. She basically held my hand through the entire, scary, often overwhelming process and made the entire thing far LESS scary and overwhelming. She explained everything patiently, answered every question, is an excellent surgeon, and made me feel that I had an ally and advocate throughout everything. I could go on and ON with superlatives about her, but I'm only allowed so many characters: she is FANTASTIC. I'm so grateful that somehow I ended up with her as my gynecologist during that situation.
Dr. Miller is, by far, the best doctor I have ever had. By the grace of God, I somehow stumbled bass-ackwards into choosing her when my primary care doctor told me to see a gynecologist in 2017, due to a thickened uterine lining and an ovarian cyst. LONG story short, that was the beginning of a year-long odyssey through a pre-cancerous uterine lining and also a rare, very aggressive form of ovarian cancer. Every step of the way, Dr. Miller was a collaborative partner: she was kind, she took a lot of time with me, she explained things carefully (and caringly) and clearly, she LISTENED, she answered my questions. Looking back, I see that she was very careful not to scare me--not to tell me what might be, but just to tell me what was, and what the next step(s) would be. Every step of the way, she was there. In the hospital, she was in the recovery room, she was in my hospital room and, when I had to be called in to be told I had ovarian cancer, she listened to me about something relatively minor (which I had called about, a few days after my hysterectomy surgery, and she instructed the staff to have me come in--what she really wanted to tell me in person was: you have ovarian cancer), and put my mind at ease about that minor thing. Only then, once she had calmed me down about the thing I *thought* I was there for that day, did she sit me down and tell me that I had ovarian cancer. The way she broke the news to me was key to me NOT being anywhere near as terrified as I otherwise might have been. She emphasized how tiny the tumor was, how the lab guy told her, we never see them this tiny, how I might not even need chemo, but I would have to ask the gynecologic oncologist. I did end up needing 4 rounds of chemo--but I think I'm okay now, thanks to Dr. Miller insisting that I get my ovaries out when I had the hysterectomy, even though I argued vociferously against it. She listened to my arguments, she didn't dismiss me or them, yet, as the phrase goes, "nevertheless, she persisted". She just kept telling me that the ovaries weren't doing much for me at this point, and she would hate to have to go back in later to get that cyst. She never said "I'm really worried that might be CANCER". She never frightened me unduly. Yet SOMEHOW she convinced hard-headed me to get my ovaries out. Which saved my life. Dr. Miller is everything a doctor should be, yet is so hard to find: not only skilled and talented, but compassionate and collaborative. Although I have a good primary care doctor, too, if Dr. Miller could be my primary care doctor, I would choose her, because she truly cares about the whole patient. I am tearing up even writing this, and I still go to her as my gynecologist, even though I'm also being followed by a gynecologic oncologist now...but I refuse to stop going to Dr. Miller *lol*! In a nutshell, she is awesome. Her staff is good, too, and there is a nurses line you can call after surgery, for example, if you have any immediate medical concerns. There are not enough superlatives to describe how wonderful this doctor is.
Wonderful caring office staff, and Dr Miller is fabulous. She’s highly professional, a great listener, good communicator and problem solver.
Dr Miller delivered my baby girl a year ago and took the right decision at the right moment when my life and my baby's life was in danger and performed an emergency c-section. She came in the next morning and checked on me and asked about my baby. She is also very professional and down to earth. She does her best to answer all questions and all the previous appointments i had with her went very smooth. I would recommend her to anyone who is pregnant or just want to have a checkup.
I made an initial appointment with Dr Miller, and had to wait 6 weeks for appointment. This was fine as she came highly recommended. Appointment desk stated that they accepted Medicare and my gap policy, United AARP. Two days before my appointment, I received a phone call from her office, and secretary advised me that I would need to pay an extra $75 which neither Medicare or United would cover. When I asked what this this was covering, answer was “I only work at front desk, I really don’t know”. When I pay $300/ month for insurance I would like to know what this fee is about. Seems to be a highly untrained front desk, and am sorry to have to cancel.
