List of Howard Sakowitz's Reviews
This office is one of the few providers in the area and the service that you get reflects it. My husband has been waiting for an appointment for months only to be called about rescheduling every time that happens the appointment gets pushed out 2 months. Meanwhile they show no concern because they know that if I’m not willing to put up with it there people with even less choices than me that are going to have to. Actively looking for other options and if you want to be treated with care and consideration this is NOT the place.
The doctor perez he is really good i apprecite nice and profesional but the front desk lady is rude and not frendly it looks like she is angry with her life.
He is a caring doctor and explained everything. I was very pleased with mine and my husband's visit.
Dr. Sakowitz and his team were so kind and caring. Candace was so very helpful, which really eased myself and my mother's anxiety. The office was clean and very neatly organized.
I am so pleased with my surgery of cataract removal to my left eye, going back for my right eye . He is an amazing "miracle doctor".
The office staff very professional. Great Doctors, highly recommend. R.Sadler
I previously posted a negative review. I am now withdrawing it, since Dr Sakowitz himself took action to remedy the bad situation. I had posted that one or more of the staff was NOT understanding or compassionate, and that part hasn't changed. My wife is 62, she is from India, and never had any real health issues till this year. She acts like a small child at times, and when the staff told her they would have to dilate her eyes, my wife got into her child like mood and refused. She just wanted to see the doctor first. I told the staff she is Indian, and the eye Dr she was assigned to was also Indian, she would listen to him. But, the staff refused, saying the Dr would only see her once her eyes were dilated. My wife got too nervous and asked that we Reschedule. The Staff AGREED that we should could call back and reschedule. After we got home I convinced my wife to let them dilate her eyes, and she finally agreed. I called the eye center 40 min after we left the office to reschedule. The Staff REFUSED to schedule her again. They told me they would no longer accept her as a patient. I ended the call, but then called back and spoke to the Supervisor - and explained my wife's actions, and also reminded them that just 40 min earlier the staff had agreed that she could call in and reschedule. But, the supervisor informed me that they would not accept her as their patient. She will have to find another eye center. I found this to be VERY UN-Compassionate. My wife gets too nervous and acts like a small child at times. What she needed was for the doctor to come and speak with her as an authority - but the staff would not let the doctor see her unless she agreed to let them dilate her eye first. I cannot say if the doctor was compassionate or understanding, or if he is medically a good dr or not, but, i can say that the STAFF is unforgiving, and in my view, and was not at all understanding or compassionate. When you go to see any Dr, it's the staff that you have to deal with the most. Unfortunately, in our area this was the ONLY eye Dr my wife's insurance would accept. We can't afford cataract surgery on our own. Because the staff refused to accept her as a patient means my wife would remain blind and without any treatment- this was cruel and unacceptable. As an update, I will say that I eventually communicated with Dr Sakowitz and he instructed his staff to make an exception in my wife's case and they did see her. The Cataract surgery has not been performed because my wife's blood pressure remains too high, we are working on that separately, but, as soon as it comes under control she will have the surgery.
Dr Sakowitz recently removed my cataracts. He's an extraordinary doctor. His staff is excellent, (and he even called me at home to know how I was doing). At his clinic, the wait times are short and his entire staff is very professional and caring. All his doctors at Sakowitz Eye Center are board certified, so his practice is exceptional.
I've been Dr. Sakowitz patient for many years, great doctor but his staff have no manners at all. Had an app on 7/17/2017 at 9:00 AM, after been seen by assistant and gone through eye exam and after dilatation staff put me back on waiting room to be called by Dr. Sakowitz, 45 minutes later I approached assistant to inquire when I would be seen by Dr. Sakowitz and told would take another "couple" of hours. Very unethical and unconsiderate from their part mostly when you are required to be driven.
Dr. Sakowitz is truly an outstanding doctor. He is thorough and explains all results extremely well. What I most like about Dr. Sakowitz and the staff is the compassion, the friendliness that they show toward their patients. An A -1 practice!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
