Was in Florida for a conference and ended up having a triple bypass. It all went well and I'm very happy to be alive, but they left a pacing wire inside of me and told me it was MRI comparable. I have since been in contact with MEDTRONICS the maker of the pacing wire and it is NOT MRI compatible. I have documentation from medtronics stating to NOT have an mri. This has caused much hardship on me needing to have CAT scans and ultrasounds now and never able to have an MRI. Since surgery where he pacing wire is i itch constantly on my back and have a twitch in the abdomen where the wire ends. To have this wire removed now would be a nightmare and a horrible surgery. Contacted the PA and notified her of our findings and she stated they tell all the patients its MRI compatible, when its not! Very upsetting that they tell patients its MRI compatible and it is not! Thank god for health images for doing their investigation prior to my MRI, who knows what would of happened!!

Dr Nguyenduy did open heart triple bypass surgery on my husband at sanford hospital. He was on staff over the holidays and I was hesitant not being able to vet the doctor but the nurses and other doctors assured me that he was the best and they were certainly right.. He saved my husbands life and was compassionate and caring and if I could leave a higher rating I would!!

I worked with Dr. Nguyenduy for over a decade. That is why I chose him to treat my mother. It is without hesitation, I would give him the highest rating possible. He was willing to take patients that other centers rejected. He met and exceeded all quality indicators. Compassion with meticulous skill that is a winning combination.

I'm a 19 years old female who had a daughter on the 10th of June. The 20th of June I had a massive PE attack. (Pulmonary Embolism). Which I did not know I had. I was unresponsive when I had fallen and went to the ER at Spartanburg Reg. I was shocked back to life in the ambulance due to over increased heart rate and drop of BP. I went into EKOS surgery 30 mins after I got in to ER. Dr.Nguyenduy was my surgeon and put 2 catheters in my lungs to bust the clots. He SAVED my life. I recommend him!!!
