I was due a colonoscopy and was referred to Dr. Shaknovsky by my neighbor, who recently had that procedure done by him. Dr. Shaknovsky is a very caring and compassionate doctor. I felt at ease from the initial consultation through the day of the procedure. He listens very well to your concerns, answers all questions, and doesn't rush you out the door, (which is very important to me). The procedure went very well and I thank him and his staff for the excellent care! I highly recommend him and will surely use him again in the future if at all possible. I recently moved to Niceville from out of state needing hernia repair surgery and a follow-up colonoscopy. Dr. Shaknovsky got me in right away for an initial appointment and exam, and scheduled the surgery for shortly afterward. Dr. Shaknovsky gave me his cell phone number to call after hours if I had any questions or issues. He performed the colonoscopy a few weeks later. Both procedures went very well. Dr. Shaknovsky scheduled follow-up visits shortly after each procedure to check on my recovery, discuss each procedure and answer questions. Dr. Shaknovsky, Tanner and Jennifer were very pleasant to deal with and provided a lot of information/explanation. I never felt rushed. It was a wonderful experience.

I had a colonoscopy by Dr. Shaknovsky after having several issues. He was very thorough and compassionate both before and after the procedure. He explained the results of the exam in great detail and I felt very comfortable with his treatment plan. Overall, I felt like I was treated very professionally and would highly recommend.
