Hakim Morsli's Online Review Report Card

This doctor has canceled twice THE MORNING OF our appointment with our 96 year old relative who has recently been in and out of the hospital and nursing home. She has been waiting for a month for an appointment to discuss her heart condition. His lack of concern and care for his patients is unprofessional. We plan to look for another cardiologist who cares about his patients. Very disappointing.

Very knowledgeable and empathetic the best

My daughter recommended my motherher grandmother see Dr. Morsli 3 years ago when she needed a cardiologist. My daughter is an RN in the open heart unit at SMH and considers Dr. Morsli the best in his field. She frequently cares for his patients so has first hand knowledge regarding how Dr. Morsli cares for his patients. I have been with my 94 y.o. mother 3x when she has seen Dr. Morsli as a patient. And having been a critical care nurse myself for over 32 years I have worked with countless physicians who were excellent in their fields and had wonderful bedside manners. And I can honestly say that none were as caring kind patient and thorough as Dr. Morsli. I’m with my mom when she sees some of her other Drs. and some rush through moms visits not allowing her the time to ask questions or talk about her concerns. But not Dr. Morsli. You would think my mother was his only patient. Dr. Morsli listens to all of my mothers concerns and addresses everything thoroughly. And Dr. Morsli explains everything he prescribes and why. My mother and I both leave Dr. Morsli’s office very satisfied and without questions. My mother says Dr. Morsli is wonderful and appreciates his patience and kindness. And we both agree that Dr. Morsli is Simply Amazing

From reception to consultation this is the best. Intercoastal Medical Group is the best large practice in Sarasota. Dr. Morsli is polite thorough and patient. So are all his associates. I switched for him from another much larger and haughty cardiology practice in Sarasota. Highest recommendation

Dr. Morsli takes the time to explain the issues and procedures.

Maybe I caught him on a bad day. Maybe I was too forceful with my questions. But the truth is when I brought up some valid questions posed by my brother a triple board certified doctor Morsli got angry and told us so. I suggested we call my brother so they could talk and Morsli said No. Im angry. I usually do this for patients but I am angry right now. I turned on the tape recorder and he abruptly told me to turn it off saying I usually allow people to record me but I am angry. I told him that my father has been depressed and had trouble figuring out his new low salt diet. Then Morsli asked my father if he wanted to live. My father indicated that he was not so sure. The doctor then looked at me and said My concern isnt with you it is with the patient. He spoke directly to my father and wouldnt even look at me. He brought up putting my father in hospice. Morslli said he had to run to the hospital because someone was coding so it had to be a short visit. We agreed to do another echo cardiogram and some blood tests. 2 days later another doctor or PA named April said the results were excellent and as long as he stuck to a low salt diet he could possibly live for several more years.Im disappointed 1 because I think the doctors anger influenced his decision to bring up hospice as if he was like OK screw you... I dont want to see you any more. 2 The 2nd set of findings TOTALLY vindicated my brothers questions which Dr. Morsli would not even address let alone consult with another doctor on the phone on the phone. But mostly 3 This guy did NOT like being questioned. It would appear his diagnosis was not as dire as he was telling us. The truth is I could give a damn about the doctors feelings as my concern is my dads health. Doctors have a tough job. They work hard and we can cut them some slack for being emotional. But Morslis attitude may have affected my dads health. I waited two weeks to post this review so I would not let emotions get in the way. Im not writing this in the heat of the moment. Who knows this guy might be some great heart doctor who saves people with grace and a smile. April was a lot better and friendlier. In the future if we go back I will suggest we deal with her rather than Dr. Prima Donna.

Great care by all of the staff

Yesterday was my first visit to this facility.Everyone was very professional.I was extremely please with doctor Hakim Morsli.He took the time to listen to all my concerns and did not rush me out of his office.I would definitely recommend this doctor.

I have been in medical billing for 35 years. I have had hundreds of doctor clients. Dr. Morsli is wonderful. He saved my life. He talks with you when you see him. He does t just stare at a terminal screen. He listens. He is gentle. Smart. Kind. He was trained in Canada and the USA. After my operation he gave me his cell phone number. No doctor has ever done that. I’ve never called it.
