Have been going to VASA since 1994. First met him, 1 April 2020, when he assisted Dr. Sampson on surgery to restore blood flow to my legs. Dr. S. . Left me in great hands I trust him and don’t want anybody else!

My husband is the patient. He was treated as an emergency patient at Sarasota Memorial Hospital for a serious DVT (blood clot). Dr. Wagner and the vascular team provided excellent care. At the follow-up appointment the day after his release, he was seen promptly, all staff were very helpful and friendly, He will continue to be monitored and having trust in the health care professionals at a stressful time was invaluable.

A longtime cardiac history from age 52 is concerning (heart attacks & 11 coronary stents over 10 years & insulin-dependent diabetes). An "episode" in August 2022 left me with extreme dizziness, & constant pain in my chest, neck, arms, and shoulders. In February of 2023, after months of misery, I ended up in the ER. Dr. Wagner was called to consult, scrutinized my many tests, and quickly determined that the problem was a "sub clave steal" (sheesh, who knew?). Dr. Wagner came into my room at 10:30PM to reassure me and share his plan. His calming, kind, knowledgeable demeanor allowed me to get my first comfortable sleep in months (despite my physical discomfort). I was raring to go for "the fix". A week later, into the OR we went. I never had a moment of uncertainty, I knew I was in the kind, capable hands and team of Dr. Wagner. His reassurance and concern, along with excellent follow-up, leaves me with no worries when the other artery will need to be done. The Absolute Best

So much waiting and would be nice to have both appts same day (sonogram & results) people with vascular issues have a hard time getting there. But understand it's insurance issues
