List of John R Culp's Reviews
Dr. Culp is an outstanding physician. He takes his time to understand patient issues and answers all questions. He has a pleasant demeanor and if very thorough. I recommend Dr. Culp to anyone who requires the services of a knowledgeable and talented cardiologist.
I would not have any other but Dr. J Culp. Excellent care when I was flown in by helicopter with a heart attack to Sarasota hospital. took good care of me by treating my problem and placing a stent in the blocked artery. Never had a problem with a scheduled appointment always on time also not rushed and explains everything. Also, not a pill pusher like other doctors.
I'm the closest relative to one of Culp's patients. The experience for us has been hugely negative for a long time. Massively criticized pharmaceuticals given to the patient and the unreliable and unhelpful response to the closest relative are emblematic. Will she survive this treatment by Culp? Earnestly hoping and praying for a new physician for her, which is hindered by a new questionable diagnosis she has been labelled with.

have a person answer the phone instead o having to leave a voice message which ends up in a phone tag
I'm trying to make a first time appointment to see Dr Culp and I've left two voicemails this past week and my doctor sent over a referral as well and I have not received any return call. I just this morning again called and got straight to their voicemail and left a message again trying to make a first time appointment for my cardiac problems
Trying to call make an appointment seem likes nobody ever available to answering the phone always answering machine is on very disappointed
I dont know about the doctor but I wouldn't give you two cents for that office I have been trying to get an appt, for my 93 year old mother,( who by the way is now in the hospital with heart failure,) for over 10 days. Mom had her echo test and it was sent to Dr. Culps office. Believe me, I've called most every other day to make sure they received paper work from primary doctor, which at first they said they did not receive and my doctor office sent twice. I spoke to a real live person 2xs and the rest of the time I had to leave a message which I did 4xs. On Thursday the day before good Friday I spoke to a nurse. She assured me that she would call me back with an appt by end of day but definitely by the next day which she said she would be working. Here it is , Tuesday, 3 days later, mom is in heart failure. If you or your love one is really in danger with your heart just beware, this office does not care about you. Oh and they still have not called me back Joyce
Dr. Culp has been my cardiac physician for 23 years ever since my initial heart attack. I credit my recovery and healthy heart for all the 23 years to his expertise and tender care. When I have been hospitalized, he was always the first one to check on me. Hardest working doctor I have ever known.
Have been a patient of Dr. Culps for 20 years, never a disappointment. Staff is very professional and caring!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
