This is such a tough review for me to write. As far as staff and Dr Yunis go, I loved them all. However, 7 months post operation for hernia repair and diastasis recti repair my abdominal area still looks off (worse than before surgery). My left side has a bulge and the ridge going down my midline that I was told would be gone within a month is still there and hard as a rock. Being a 38 year old who takes very good care of her body, this is very hard to handle. I feel deformed and thought I’d come out looking better, not worse. Like I said, I hate making this review because I love the staff and Dr Yunis, they were great, my results have just not been ideal. I wish most of the time I never had the surgery.

Dr Kulman is amazing! Many surgeons don't have the best bedside manner but Dr Kulman is very kind and knowledgeable and takes the time to answer your questions. Very grateful for him and his staff.

I am very happy that I did my research and found Dr Yunis (a Hernia Specialist) to do my bilateral hernia repair. I live in Texas. In a major metropolitan city. When my primary care doctor discovered my hernia. I went to see two top general surgeons in the city. The first surgeon wanted to use a biological mesh. The second surgeon was considering using a mesh plug. In researching these through the manufacturer mesh websites the doctors gave me. Also, the American Hernia Society and online hernia forums. I found these were not good options for me. The most important thing my research showed. The best success rate and the best outcome of any operation is the amount of experience a surgeon has in doing that type of surgery. I knew my best option was to find a hernia specialist. In my research through Google, the American Hernia Society and online hernia forums. He does over 700 operations for hernia repair or abdominal wall reconstruction annually. This is a significantly higher experience level than a General Surgeon who may only do one or two hernias per week. I flew from Texas to Sarasota, Florida in March 2023 to have my bilateral robotic hernia repair done. I flew home a few days after surgery. Melanie, the nurse administrator for Dr Yunis. Was extremely helpful in giving me all the information I needed and answering all my questions from the very beginning and throughout my hernia journey. Also, then following up after surgery. This is extremely comforting to any patient. Now, three weeks later after surgery. I feel great and am very happy I found and chose Dr Yunis. If you decide to choose Dr Yunis for your hernia needs. It will be a decision you will be happy with for many years to come!

So attentative, undertsnding of the issues and diagnoses super well. And his operative skills are out of this world.
