I had an emergency in mid February. I went to Sarasota memorial emergency room in North Port and after several tests I was sent to Sarasota memorial hospital in sarasota. I dont know how Dr. Mets and I crossed paths but I was the lucky one. He came and saw me the afternoon I was admitted had some tests done and had me in surgery on the day after my admittance.He was very patient explained everything and seen me from surgery through my discharge.I just saw him today for a follow up. I couldnt have asked for a better surgeon and the results brought me back to 100% health.I can recommend him as my choice of Dr. if and when I need care again. I wouldnt have anyone else.

Dr Mets is everything you could ask for in a doctor KInd caring very knowledgeable and always takes the time to explain things to you.

I’ve been sick all year and nobody could track it down until I had a scan and saw Dr Mets.He knew exactly what was wrong with me even drew me a picture to show me spoke in terms anybody could understand was open for questions very friendly and concerned.A real professional . Two weeks later I had surgery three days laterI was out of the hospital. He used DaVinci robot for laparoscopic surgery he had to rearrange my bowel and cut part of my colon out as it was leaking into my bladder. Apparently from a fever due to diverticulitis. This has been ongoing since prior to the lockdown even with multiple trips to the lab and everyone taking your temperature nothing showed up. I had very minimal pain following surgery nothing that couldn’t be controlled two weeks after surgery I was driving again and allowed to doeat anything tolerable. I would recommend Dr Mets in a heartbeat.

Dr. Mets is a doctor that I would recommend to anyone that has to have surgery. He took the time to answer all my questions and was very patient. When I was hospitalized he came by and checked on my daily even when I was not on his rotation. You are appreciated Dr. Mets

My initial introduction to Dr. Mets was very enlightening. I gained my confidence in him very quickly due to his detailed description of my surgery required and follow up recuperation. Dr. Mets compassion showed when he made telephone contact with my daughter in another city to further satisfy the family concerns which added great comfort to me. Dr. Mets compassion knowledge and medical skills proved very positive since coming through surgery successfully with no after discomfort or problems what so ever. Dr. Mets is tops in every way a patient deserves. I have deep gratitude for his generous support. He is my kind of surgeon.

Dr Mets operated on my 80 year old father. He was kind patient helpful and always available. He first tried to treat my dad without surgery which I really appreciated. When we realized that he was not getting better and needed surgery Dr Mets was terrific. He explained what to expect before during and after. My dad ended up in the hospital for two weeks and Dr Mets was there every day.
