Joseph Mets's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Mets is an excellent surgeon. He carefully explained my options and was very clear in providing information. The entire experience went very well and there were no surprises as he was very clear about everything regarding my medical treatment. This is very unusual for the Intercoastal Group.

It was completely by chance that Dr. Mets ended up in my ER room last November. I was suffering from acute diverticulitis with an abscess. He didn’t know me from Adam….and yet I felt like he was treating a family member. He has been by my side and completed a robotic siegmoidectomy as of two weeks ago. He pushed for me to have the surgery as a scheduled procedure rather than waiting for another emergency episode…as the pathology determined….the condition was severe and was certain to have returned in a far more difficult manner. I am grateful to him, his nurse Bianca, and his entire staff who, like him, have been nothing but kind, respectful, and most importantly…responsive. I recommend Dr Joseph Mets with every fiber of my being. He is, quite simply, a good and honest man. I am and will be eternally grateful it was he who landed in my er room last November. He was heaven sent. By the way…I have never written a review about a doctor ever before.

3 weeks post surgery. Great experience. Everyone at the office of Dr Joseph M Mets MD, and at Intercoastal Surgery Center are kind and compassionate. I felt that everyone truly listened to me as a patient. I always felt heard when asking questions, and was made to feel comfortable and confident about the Dr. and the staff before, during, and after the surgery. The ladies up front were very helpful with insurance issues. After Intercoastal Medical Group and Intercoastal Surgery Center facility received approval to perform the surgery, the insurance company re-coded the procedure in their system, then denied me because the old code now means it was cosmetic surgery (not covered). The ladies are currently helping navigate this issue. Apparently, I was not the first one this has happened to this year. I am confident we will get this worked out with teamwork.

Dr Mets performed robotic surgery . Excellent bedside manner and excellent surgeon . Highly recommend .

He thoroughly explained two options for surgery my husband needs..and considered on us choosing the more conservative of the two. He is an expert and spent alot of time with us..

Dr Mets is an amazing Dr. He is great at his job and has a wonderful bedside manor. He is kind, compassionate, and very patient. He takes his time and explains everything. Just over all great Dr.

We saw Dr. Mets today. He is kind, thorough, copiously reviews your medical history, examines you completely, explains everything and lays out the best approach for your surgical options. I highly recommend him. 8/10/22.

Dr. Mets is a fantastic human being and surgeon. Very kind and compassionate and was sure to go through everything with my prior to my unexpected surgery.
