Saw him in the ED for stomach pain that got worse as I was there. Over heard him tell a nurse I was a drug seeker and then he refused to treat my pain or scan me.
Dr. Casebolt had a great bedside manner, he listened to my complaints, and I was appropriately treated. If ever I need to go back to the ER he is the doc I would want to see!
I went into the SMH ER because the VA hospital urged me to go because of a knee issue - History of 2 knee reconstructions and a tibial osteotomy 30 years ago (I'm 52). I had ACL, PCL MCL and medial-collateral meniscus repaired. Painful knee and loose as a goose. I have MS and a few weeks ago I had a muscle spasm in my leg that felt like it shifted something in the hardware - very painful. I know there is soft tissue damage but things got worse and tore more over the past 24 hours. I expected some kind of consult with an orthapedic, at least an MRI and at very least some pain medication (non-opiate is fine but stronger than OTC). I got 3 xrays, was told that the screw separated from the bone and that there was nothing he could do or was willing to do. Screw separated from bone, numb heel and big toe and the nurse discharges me and tell me to put ice on it and gives me paperwork for a strained knee. Really felt like they missed an opportunity here and I am trying to get into new orthopedic quickly. The doctor should have put me in touch with an orthopod. Only 2 stars because he was so nice. But man .... he screwed up!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
