Dangerous, stupid and abusive
Dr Thomas is such a excellent doctor. He really knows his stuff and also is very skllled in understanding what the patients needs.
Dr Thomas is the kindest most attentive MD out there. He has treated me for almost five years and has been a great support to me during a very difficult time in my life.
Dr. Thomas is an exceptional provider of ECT treatments. The doctor and his staff, at Sarasota Memorial, are empathetic and accomodative. I highly recommend these transformational procedures. He is an expert in his field, supportive, and caring. Hopefully, I will not require any additional sessions, due to my enhanced quality of life, but if I do I wouldn't hesitate to use Dr. Matthew Thomas again. I am grateful for his team's assistance in treating my health issues.
Our daughter put herself in the hospital because she was overly medicated for anxiety and depression. Dr. Thomas was her psychiatrist. He was excellent! He listened to her and helped more than any doctor she has ever had in her life! He found the best treatment for her. We are eternally grateful!
I also feel Dr Thomas has saved my life several times in the course of my Major Depressive Disorder lows. Yes the wait time is always over an hour at his office.... a small price to pay for the benefits of his excellent care. He is also one of the very few psychiatrists in my region that performs ECT. He is a wonderfully caring & compassionate mental health doctor with a calm, quiet, soothing demeanor and the patience of Job.
Dr Thomas is one of the few psychiatrists in my region that performs ECT. He is a caring & compassionate mental health doctor with a calm, quiet, soothing demeanor and the patience of Job. He has treated my Major Depressive Disorder for the past 5 years. I drive two hours roundtrip just to see him. I would recommend him to anyone seeking quality mental health care. And especially for anyone seeking ECT, as only a tiny fraction of psychiatrists perform this treatment.
Not sure which way to go with this but he seems like a good doctor but at the same time he seems like a great salesman when it comes to convincing patients to do things his way as opposed to addressing their concerns and making adjustments to treatment based on the patient's wishes and comfort because he's one of the doctors that always " knows better than the patient "
Seems like a good doctor, but definitely pushes his opinions and preferences for treatment like a used car salesman rather than actually consider the patients concerns or comfort with the situation. Although this is not anything he can help, the support staff at the hospital he practices at are very unprofessional and uncaring.
Dr. Thomas saved my life. Who cares about how long you have to wait to see him? Bring a book. He is worth every minute.
I have seen Dr. Thomas for several years, he has been very helpful and kept me very functional. Dr. Thomas is very good diagnostically, because he listens. He has a wonderful bedside manner, very kind and caring, extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him.
Excellent in every way!
No answering service, so access to the doctor after hours is very limited. Other than that, he is an excellent doctor.
Helpful and kind. He worked really well with my elderly mother.
I feel his diagnosis was wrong, he overprescribed and did not return phone calls. His staff apologized profusely. I feel he was unprofessional and careless. Things only improved after finding a new doctor.
It would behoove any new comers to look elsewhere for medical care. This Dr has a real attitude problem. It is really shattering to speak to a Dr who is supposed to listen and try to alleviate the situation and in turn only makes you feel "less than". Take your money elsewhere and read all the reviews on here...reviews don't lie.
