List of Richard Golub's Reviews
If I could give him no stars I would. Total misdiagnosed by this doctor and to think if he just did his job and scoped my rectum he would have known my rectum was not torn like my doctor and doctors hospital said. Well it was my colon that was infected into my rectum and I was sepsis because my bladder had a hole . I almost died but I found a real surgeon. Stay away
I echo a previous review because Dr. Golub is surrounded by rude staff and incompetence. If he cannot organize his staff Im not letting him cut me open. I was charged $20 copay for a 5 minute chat and he didnt even have the MRI results of my cancer that I had HAND DELIVERED to his office 5 business days before I am trying my best to organize and be professional about my life threatening cancer but this outfit is not operating at my standard.
Dr. Golub has taken the time to help me figure out what was wrong with me and then correct the issue. I have been through five other doctors who were not able to diagnose me. Dr. Golub has been personable informative has offered me hope Yet realistic about my condition. I cannot say enough good things about him and the progress that he’s made so far on helping me feel better. In addition his nursing staff is wonderful.
Horrible experience. Came to see the Doctor after seeing another doctor and going to the Er all he did was go by the other two diagnoses which were incorrect. If he had done a scope like he was supposed to I wouldn’t have been in pain 16 hours a day and almost passed away.
Dr. Golub is competent and helpful. His frontoffice staff is not. I received insurance information from his staff that contradicted that from my insurer I called Dr. Golubs office to clarify. My call was not returned. I went to the office overheard the staff member complain I dont work for the insurance company and was kept waiting for 20 minutes. Rather than helping she chose to argue with me about the reason for my initial visit. I will not be returning to this practice.
Dr. Golub performed surgery for a prolapse and just prior to entering the OR I had to remind him he had planned to perform it laparoscopically. He seemed very annoyed and in a hurry as it was quicker and easier for HIM to open up the abdomen. I quickly developed a prolapse right below what he tacked up as well as another area not fixed. He denied these problems and had total disregard. After confirmation exams by 2 other drs. I had to have surgery to fix these issues by another surgeon.
Efficient response for needed appendectomy. Never inspected incision in hospital nor did nurses. After sutures came out a 34 inch deep hole appeared. It oozed green and yellow for three weeks. He was dismissive of these symptoms. He disagreed with hospitalists saying appendix was punctured. Hospital report says it was. Not sure if I was treated correctly because of this. Still have pain two months later.
One of the worst run offices I have even been to. Wait time was over 45 minutes with no explanation of why.
Outstanding job. I was out of the hospital in 4 days.
My primary physician called Dr. Golubs office to make an emergency appointment for me. It was on a Friday and Dr. Golub was finishing up a surgery. I didnt wait long at all. I was checked but Dr. Golub couldnt find a specific diagnosis so I went home with prescriptions to fill. He was very thorough with what could have happened and what I can do to prevent it and took the time to explain it.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
