He caused me to have a Spinal leak and had to take me back into surgery months later, He fused the wrong Vertebra, ,See February 09, 2023 below comments Then he refused to see me to discuss what was wrong.

Dr. Knego did an MRI of my Cervical Spine. He told me that C3, 4, 5 needed to be fused. I disagreed but was told he knew what he was doing. 1. I was told after seeing a second Neuro surgeon that he fused the wrong Vertebra, C3,4,5. 2. The C4 & 5 Fusion washed out and my neck was in danger. 3. Dr. #2 diagnosed that C6,7,& T1 were the correct vertabra to fuse but C4,&5 had to be redone and C6 added for strength. Dr. Knego incorrectly advised me and I now have C3,4,5,6,7, & T1 are fused. Because of his mistake, C2&3 need to be fused and T1 & 2 need to be fused.

Although I was disappointed that this doctor cannot help me and my problem, I was appreciative of his direct and empathetic consultation. I waited quite some time to find a doctor I like and trust, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him . Front office contact with staff especially Mary was extremely pleasant.

I have subdural hematomas(2) on my brain after a fall. I was hospitalized and had office visit. Both by different Physician Assistants.I NEVER saw a NEUROSURGEON,who was to determine if I needed SURGERY( evacuation of hematomas). Sad that Dr Fine,nor Dr Knego( who billed my insur) never evaluated me in person.This is substandard. Dr LaRondelle,patient.

Dr. Knego, operating with Dr. Donald Erb (pain management) placed a Medtronic Intrathecal Pain Pump in my abdomen some years ago. Together, they did an excellent. I have had occasion to see Dr. Knego several times in his Sarasota office. He is skilled, experienced and was always patient with me... the patient. A little humor there. He showed respect and was straight forward with my questions and concerns. Now it is time for to have another cervical spine surgery and I fully intend to request an appointment and hope Dr. Knego will agree to do the surgery. I have full confidence in his surgical ability and I highly recommend him.

Dr. Knego and Jared are miracle workers! They saved my love and I will never be able to thank them enough. As a nurse I appreciate seeing not only their skill in practice but the compassion and dedication to patients and they’re families, it is admirable to say the least. I will forever be in debt to them for giving me back the most important part of my life; my external heart.

After a year of extreme back pain and discomfort with severe weakness and nerve problems. I sought out a neurosurgeon who could hopefully help me. I have nothing but the upmost respect for Dr Knego and his staff. Jared, Debbie, Dina all of them. He gave me my quality of life back and and I can’t thank them enough!

I was treated By Dr.Knego 3 yrs ago now with a 4 level neck fusion. My sister waited in the surgical waiting room for hours and all she got was a quick phone call telling her only surgery was finished. It wasn't until she was able to see me in my room that there had been complications. I had a hematoma on my neck the size of a large orange. To this day I have never received an explanation and not until one of his partners did rounds on me the next morning did anyone show concern. Knego wouldn't see me until a couple weeks later when I came to the office due to trouble swallowing, breathing and moving my head did another surgeon in his office told the nurse to schedule an appointment with Knego at that appointment he treated me with hostility when I tried to ask questions. Do yourself and your body a favor go elsewhere. With every year that goes by I have more and more problems develop including my voice being totally different, that's the least of the problems. You can never ask to many questions!!!!!
