Office rescheduled follow up visit for my husband 7 times after having a triple bypass. He was supposed to be seen 2 weeks after hospital release. Manager wouldn't take my calls, told staff to send me to her voicemail. I showed up in person and she said I'm not their patient and she won't listen to me. My husband just had heart surgery and you stressed him out and it is my job to speak up for him. Awful management and service. We went else where and found a fantastic cardiologist.

Rescheduled my husband over 7 times after his open heart surgery. Manager wouldn't take my call when I finally wanted to complain when they changed his appointment 3 times in 1 day. They are stressing a man who just had a triple bypass and not seeing him for followup like they are supposed to. I showed up to his original appointment today because we could not do their 3rd change and they refused to see us. Still haven't seen him and now I refuse to return to continue to get ourselves stressed.

Great Dr and incredible team

I had a hrt cath and Dr King was 1/2 hr late so his team stood around with me on the operating table WAITING for 30 min! This was for my heart! Not to get my nails done! Called next day - no live person!! At a cardiologist office!! Left "2" messages for his nurse lynn and a 3rd for his office Mgr! NO RETURN PHONE CALL!! "AGAIN" at a cardiologist office! If the office is un responsive and Doctor is late - BEWARE!

Dr. King has become too busy to see his patients. The nurse practitioner did not assess the patient being seen. He examined the EKG and without doing an assessment developed a differential diagnosis. He did not listen to her lungs or heart. He didn't palpate one pulse point, and he didn't check for edema. It is very disconcerting, and perhaps why NP are not as widely accepted. He did not actively listen to patient complaints, and he reluctantly ordered labs. Although the patient was there because of bleeding complaints that started after starting anticoagulant

We are considering filling a complaint bc of our amazingly bad (and dangerous) experience with him. BEWARE. Dr King told us that I had a heart attack; then I did NOT have a heart attack; and then that I DID have a heart attack. He could not find a blockage bc I had a heart attack from an arterial spasms that he later found - THIS IS AN ALLERGIC HEART ATTACK (Kounis syndrome). This is related to my Mast Cell Disorder. DR KING ADMITTED HE WAS STUMPED YET HE DID NOT LISTEN TO US. He did NOT listen to the Hemotologist who had researched my Mast Cell condition. He kept insisting I take drugs that could CAUSE another allergic heart attack. I had a perfect blood pressure, but he insisted I take drugs to lower my BP - despite the Hemotologist's recommendations. He lowered my BP from 120/75 to 103/56 with ONE 5mg pill that takes days to leave your system. Then the next morning - he refused to discharge me until I took a 10mg pill of the same drug AND a drug that the Hemotologist had told him is very dangerous for me to take. There's so much more to say. Dr King is a glorified plumber with a few tools in his tool chest - even if they will hurt you - he will force them on you.

My first visit with Dr. King was very favorable. Very pleasant guy and a seemingly great staff. When it was determined that Sarasota Memorial would not accept my insurance for a procedure I had to be admitted for, Dr. King told me that he would set me up with a colleague of his at Drs Hospital, where my insurance was good. To make a long story short, after weeks of calling his office (and even his personal cell phone), I have not been contacted by him. This began on March 15; today is May 31

He is highly knowlegable, he understood my condition, prescribed a course of medicine to correct the cardiac problem after inserting a stent in my heart.

I was assigned to Dr. King because I went to the ER w/irregular HB and high BP. (And, I haven't been in a hospital overnight since my last pregnancy!) I found him to be very knowledgable regarding A-afib and its dangers regarding stroke. My complaint is that he didn't want to hear about the stress I've been under lately or anything else... including my daily cardio workouts. He insisted that I've always had A-Fib and my Cardiologist up north just never caught it. That being said... I''m Sure he knows what's best going forward! It's just that "forward" will be w/another cardiologist in Sarasota. My husband also needs one and he thought Dr. King is short on bed side manner! Too bad they can't teach this in Medical school!

I recently saw Dr. King and was very happy with him. He spent as much time with me and my husband as we needed to understand my diagnosis and the recommended treatment. I found our visit with him to be very educational. He was very upbeat which was a great comfort during a very stressful time. i also liked that he is board certified and up on all the newest procedures.
