I recently went to Dr Stevens for a hernia repair and I could not be happier. I find Dr. Stevens a very good listener and a no nonsense surgeon. When I had an allergic reaction to the pain medication he took the time and I quickly had a appointment with him and he was very knowledgeable and helpful in getting me through this process. I whole office staff was friendly and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Stevens.

Excellent surgeon Saved my life with diverticulitis and sepsis. Performed hernia surgery on 2 hernias. Highly recommend Dr Stevens..

I visited Dr. Stevens because of a pain in my lower abdomen. He checked me out and recommended an MRI. I informed him I would be traveling to Illinois within the week for approximately 1 month. He said it shouldn’t be a problem to get the MRI done before I left. The next day I got a call back from a woman in his office and was told they wouldn’t be able to get the MRI scheduled before I left. I then told her I’d like to get the MRI in Illinois and have the results sent back to Dr. Stevens. I was told that wasn’t possible. When I asked why she said it was because she would need to know where I was getting the MRI and what their tax code was. I said I would provide that information but she still refused. At this point she told me Dr. Stevens said I should just get a doctor in Illinois. I told her I didn’t want to start over with another doctor and saw no reason why they couldn’t make this work. She again told me she couldn’t help. So basically they took my money and then dumped me.

Dr.Stevens is a fine surgeon. His staff is excellent. No long waits there.Loved it.

Handled my 12 yo sons appendectomy just the right amount of bedside manner matched with reassurance

Rude curt could be technically great but blows in and out of appts and could care less if u have questions ....maybe just a simple “how are u feeling “ would be nice ......go elsewhere if u can .

During an initial appointment with Dr. Stevens I feel I was treated poorly. Dr Stevens was unfriendly curt and a bit condescending. I understand that people have bad days and based on other surveys this was probably one of them days for Dr Stevens. Regardless I cancelled my appointment for surgery and will go to another surgeon.
