Outstanding care by the nurses. Great communication and coordination with office staff. My care went seamlessly and I was thrilled with everything. Highly recommend. You get what you pay for.

This review is long overdue as my surgery was in January, however, I still think about and am most grateful for the kind, professional and gentle care given to me by my nurses, Nancy and Tony. It is not easy bringing strangers into your home to care for you at your weakest but they were so nice and personable that they put me back in my comfort zone immediately! Nancy picked me up after surgery, took me home and took care of me until Tony arrived and Tony took care of me through the night. My surgery required many showers and cold compresses for 48 hours (not fun!) They were diligent, I was kind of in a groggy state but was aware throughout the day and night that cold compresses were being gently applied. When Nancy took me back to my surgeon he was shocked and remarked that it was the least swelling he had ever seen. Thank you again to Nancy and Tony and to Melanie for sending them and for calling to check on me everyday!

Melanie, at Take Care coordinated my in “home care” for me back in August. Her caring and warm personality clearly came through on the phone and I felt so confident I was going to have the best care right after my surgery. That’s an understatement as I had exceptional care and I couldn’t imagine not having my two wonderful nurses by my side! My first nurse , Nancy, was there when I woke right after procedure. She assisted me in getting dressed and on my way to the hotel for the night. Even though I was groggy, it was apparent to me I was in excellent hands as she organized my meds and helped get me to the bathroom and then comfortable in bed. Cold compresses were important to me and needed to be refreshed often. She was on top of it. Meds needed to be taken ASAP and she helped me eat a little in order to tolerate. She stayed with me until the night nurse came (Ann- I’ll get to her in a minute!)and then she returned again in the morning. My post op appointment was the next morning and Nancy helped me shower and dress and then drove me to this appointment. Her level of care surpassed anything I was expecting. She carefully walked with me as I moved from hotel to car to doctors office and then back to hotel. Nancy went over my wound care and med schedule with my Husband, she even created a daily chart for the week in order for us to keep all the meds recorded! My lovely night nurse was Ann and she was amazing as well! Ann attended to my constant need of cold compresses and even helped me to walk back in forth in my room in order to work off the anesthetic. We chatted and her warm personality made me feel like I had a family member caring for me. Both nurses had an exceptional gift of making me feel like family or a dear friend. Lovely professional ladies! I couldn’t have made it through the night without that level of care. I would encourage anyone to call your company and set up in home care or post surgery care. What a wonderful and caring business Take Care is! Thank you, and my husband thanks you too!

Great group to work with. They are always striving to do what’s right and best in managing the care of my Loved one. Loved one is a snowbird which we are trying to maintain the dignity and independence for as long as humanly possible. I live out of state and they are there 24/7 doing whatever he needs done, medically, socially ect. They are right there for him and I each and every step of the way on this journey. Wished I had found them sooner!

If I should ever need private duty Home Health Care after being released from the hospital or whatever, this is DEFINITELY the outfit I would contact for assistance. I had a client that needed this very type of professional service and tried one agency and it just did not work out. Then she heard about "Take Care" and she has done nothing but rave about her experience with them ever since. They had her back up to speed in no time and she felt really good about having the confidence to carry on after that by herself, but they were absolutely wonderful and really came through for her in a pinch! You simply can't put a price on 'peace of mind', and that's what they gave her, big time! I would highly recommend them to anybody in need of help.

The health care worker shortage has effected the care that Take Care provides. Often last minute caregiver cancellations without notification to family or learning last minute that a caregiver not coming. I've been able to "fill in" to care for my Mom but I'm exhausted. Can't count on them to come through. Thank goodness my Mom is of sound mind but unfortunately in a wheelchair with limited mobility. She doesn't require lifting-she can transfer to chair and bed. But she can't prepare her meals or shower and needs this assistance. Take are was highly recommended but can't deliver And care is expensive.Sharon M.

Imagine you have left home to drive two hours for a scheduled surgery the next day. It's a holiday weekend and you are naturally anxious when mid-drive you receive a call that the private nursing services you have previously contracted have been canceled with no remedy in sight. Panic sets in and additional anxiety. You have paid for the doctor, surgery facility and residence where you will be staying post-surgery-the dominoes seem to be falling one after another. Fate steps in, you access the “google machine,” and on the second call, you reach Suzanne, the owner of Take Care Home Health in Sarasota. Suzanne listens patiently and with calm information gathering seems confident that Take Care Home Health can provide services for you. You're willing to acquiesce to anything at this point and put your trust in Suzanne and her "baby" Take Care. From start to finish, the services provided by Take Care exceeded all my expectations. Suzanne was in constant contact with me and I went to bed that night less anxious than I had felt a few hours before. The surgery aftercare was so personally and professionally provided that it felt like I was being cared for by family members. The team of Nancy and Mary provided just what the doctor ordered all overseen by the delightful Abby, AD of Client Services. This is a first-class operation that never once forget that they were dealing with the personal side of home care, not simply the bottom line.

They have been taking care of my dear mom for 2 years. Yet I still find myself frustrated with management. I hope to rectify that. And will update further after my current visit. Or Sue, feel free to call me ditrectly.
