I was seen by Dr. Wendt in the ER at Sarasota Memorial hospital. She was wonderful. Good listener. Great communicator. Kind yet matter-of-fact. I felt like I was in the best of hands, with confidence in her knowledge and buoyed by her warm positive spirit. She helped make a difficult day much more bearable.

Big ego. Does NOT listen. Clearly thinks that she has some special ability to "see the unseeable" and so cannot begin to register information that conflicts with the theory she has developed based on her few minutes with a patient. Consequently, wasted many hours of Sarasota Memorial Hospital staff time, patient's money and relatives' time. ***Completely overrode resident who was right on the mark. ...

Dr. Wendt was excellent in every respect! She examined me and sent me for key tests which turned out negative for a DVT and other possible causes of my chest pain. Later, my brother in law caught her in the hallway of the ER, and she smiled and came right into my room. She commented that she could easily see my pain, and came up with a number of ideas. She said she would contact both my neurologist and PCP. My experience with Dr. Wendt could not have gone any better. I recommend her unequivocally!

Would give her zero if I could. Went to Sarasota Memorial and met with Dr. Wendt. ER visit charged $3173 and dr visit of $720 and $34 for some kind of xray. Sent my husband home with 2 days of steroid and told him he has a inflamed disk. My husband has severe spinal stenosis with a cyst on his L3-4. This hospital and their doctors aren't fit to look at my animals.

Dr. Wendt charged $3173 for ER visit, $270 for dr visit and $34 for a pancholy and told my husband that he had an inflamed disk. Sent him home with 2 days of steroids, in which the pharmacist laughed because it was a Friday. My husband has severe spinal stenosis and a cyst on his L3-4 This hospital is a joke and their doctors, if you can call them that, are a joke as well.

Took care of my urinary tract blockage in the middle of the night. Determined. Professional. Personable. And she resolved a difficult problem without my having to be admitted to the hospital. She gets an A+. Staff was equally good, and they all worked well together.

Entered the emergency room at 10pm. Met Dr. Wendt. She seemed polite and experienced. Scheduled many tests which I completed with no problems from 10am to 2pm. Dr. Wendt told me she knew my doctor and would contact her that night while I waited for my test results. She did not contact my doctor and would not come into my room to discharge me....went by 3 times and spoke with me as I blocked her coming down the hallway....my nurse kept saying I was good to go. I left with no discharge at 4pm!
