Wende M. Kozlow's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Koslow should be removed from practicing medicine. She could not answer my questions adequately and had no clue as to why some test results did not make sense. She is abrupt disdainful and definitely needs a strong injection of personality. She is by far the worst doctor I have ever encountered. I had better health care in Canada which is governmentrun. I would go to my cats vet before I would go back to her. I wasted 2 appointments with her made sure my referring doctor had the results of the tests she sent me for and asked for a new doctor. She is a disgrace to the medical profession.

ABSOLUTELY NOT For 3 weeks I tried to make an appointment with Dr. Koslow 3 faxes they say they never received Kathleen gave me a secondary fax number and still that didnt work numerous phone calls still no luck I have decided to look elsewhere. To date this practice has only wasted my time

Dr. Kozlow has been my endocrinologist for about 3 years. She is very patient with you explains the rationale for the treatment and reviews lab results. The office staff is always super nice and very helpful. I would recommend her without hesitation.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kozlows without incident since 2014 paying my bills and taking her orders. In fact I was great patient having gastric sleeve surgery at her suggestion and loosing 75 pounds reverting my diabetes while still suffering from thyroid disease since age 30 During this summer with Covid 19 and the fact I am the sole care giver to my 78 cancer surviving immune compromised mother and helper to my 84 year mother in law I opted for a tele appointment out of an abundance of caution. I was unable to connect via video so I had a 57 minute phone conversation with Dr. Kozlow and was promptly billed $120. I called her billing dept to try and get a break as I found that to be a bit much considering it was not a face to face telehealth appointment. I might also add that like many I have been experiencing financial difficulties with the loss of work for myself and husband. Her billing dept. kept sending me bills and I called again. They never got back to me. I asked them to ask the Dr. herself to consider $80. I never heard back. Today I called the office again and asked to speak with the manager after receiving a letter via regular and certified mail stating she is no longer going to be my doctor. Additionally it stated that a release for my medical records was enclosed. It wasnt in either letter and there isnt a form to download on their website. So I had to call again and wait 25 minutes to be told that a release would be mailed to me. So now we have wasted my time and her staffs again. My time is about 2 hours invested via 5 calls and hold times. That is never their consideration. As of this writing I havent heard back from anyone at her office. I tried to call billing again and went into voicemail that announced Chloes name again but this time it hung up on me prior to allowing me to leave a message. I will pay my $120 which is a hardship but I am still disgusted by the principal of the matter and their lack of getting back to me. I am the daughter of Dr. Major Theodore Stein M.D. who was a well regarded physician in Sarasota in the 1970s and early 1980s who helped put Sarasota on the map to draw quality physicians to the area. Unfortunately while I have the upmost respect for doctors and my fathers service to our troops as their physician in the cold war in the European theater where I lived with him on base in the 1980s there are doctors and then there are doctors. The cold letter I received and the apathy by Dr. Kozlow and staff goes against the Hippocratic oath and makes it impossible for me to recommend her practice to anyone. I knew her for 6 years as my doctor and I feel I deserved better than this. So she will have her money but can keep her horrible actions and less then compassionate bedside manner and lack of empathy for others for which she is known for by her patients and medical peers.

Im retired Director of Largest Hospital Group In the USA 154 Deans and senior faculty MDs in charge of 154 MDs. Dr. Kozlow is the WORST MD I have ever observed and clinically WORST I have ever seen in 42 years manageing medical practices. DO NOT choose her as your doctor.

Dr Kozlow is extremely kind caring and thorough in her care. She looks at what is best for the patient and follows clinical recommended guidelines when she is choosing therapy. I can’t say enough good things about her and highly recommend her as an endocrinologist.

Dr. Kozlow was my first physician as a new adult. I went through terrible doctors and NPs prior to her who were not attentive unwilling to listen and unwilling to improve my diabetes management with technology. With Dr. Kozlow I have had every need addressed in a timely manner and she and her staff respond quickly to any issues that need attention. She knows where to look for improvement and how to effectively improve them. She is willing to meet requests that improve diabetes management and answer questions thoroughly. I have seen a whole percentage drop in my a1C with her support since I began seeing her and I plan to keep seeing her as long as I remain in the Sarasota area. I genuinely appreciate the time and care she dedicates to each of her patients

I have had a great experience with Dr Koslow since the first moment I met her . I was very disappointed because no one doctor had gave an answer for my hormonal situation. She was clear and straight to the point. She ordered the right tests and she prescribed the treatment that is working great . I highly recommend her

I thought Dr. Kozlow was a very knowledgeable Physician but I was unhappy with her abruptness during interactions when I asked questions. After much deliberation I decided to get a consultation with another Endocrinologist. Within day of requesting that my records be sent to that office so that I might get a consult I received a certified letter that Dr. Kozlow would not longer be responsible for my medical care. Up until this point I had no problem with this doctor but it greatly concerns me and it should concern anyone going to Dr. Kozlow that she appears to be frightened of another doctor reviewing her records. What is she afraid of? Why does getting a 2nd opinion cause her to drop me as a patient? I would NOT recommend using this office.

Dr Kozlow has been treating me for my diabetes and thyroid problems for over three years. She is calm helpful and extremely understanding. I trust her implicitly and would recommend her to anyone.
